McLaren Albert Speedtail with 1,035 hp

At the car event, Sunset Plaza in Los Angeles, McLaren will unveil its new supercar. It is a McLaren Albert Speedtail model with 1,035 hp and a top speed of 250 mph.

The exterior of the car is the work of McLaren Special Operations (MSO). Their workers spent 12 weeks applying the paint from a dark shade at the front to a light shade at the back. The car was ordered by a McLaren dealer from Beverly Hills who said:

“As one of the very last Speedtails to be built at the McLaren Production Center, it was very important to us at McLaren Beverly Hills that Albert honors the brand’s rich heritage, particularly paying tribute to the icon that is the McLaren F1.”

The car is named after the McLaren F1 test mule, named after Albert Drive in England. MSO managing director Ansar Ali said:

“The name Albert has a special resonance with MSO, as we’re the custodians of the McLaren F1 and are based at the Albert Drive premises that McLaren Cars occupied in the 1990s.”

The McLaren Albert Speedtail is one of the few three-seater supercars. It is powered by a 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 engine with 1,035 hp (722 kW).

The public presentation of the Albert Speedtail will take place on August 8th.

A turning point in the history of Rimac Automobili

Rimac Automobili announced a turning point in the history of this company on Facebook. The news will be announced today at 20:00 CEST.

It is not known exactly what it is about. We only know that he posted on Facebook: “What’s next? Here at Rimac, we never rest. Following the recent launch of the #Nevera, we are announcing the next major milestone in our company’s history. Join us in this celebration and watch the live stream on July 5th at 8pm CEST / 11am PDT. “

Rimac Automobili recently introduced the second generation of supercars, the Nevera.

“The Nevera is the most powerful production car ever produced, with 1,900 horsepower, under 2 seconds from 0 to 100, under 9 seconds per quarter mile, making it the fastest accelerating car ever on the road. It’s an indication of what we can think of in technology and work for other manufacturers such as Porsche or Hyundai who are our investors. Of course we want to build a strong business in the production of sports cars,” said Mate Rimac.

Nevera is fully manufactured in Croatia. It has a lithium-manganese-nickel battery with 6,960 cells and a capacity of 120kWh. Thanks to four individually powered wheels, the Nevera has 1,914 hp and 1,741 lb-ft of torque, allowing it to reach 62 mph in just 1.97 seconds with a top speed of 258 mph (413 km / h). Rimac Automobili will produce only 150 units at a cost of € 2 million.

Aston Martin Valkyrie AMR Pro

It’s very busy these days in Aston Martin. After presenting the Vantage Roadster a few days ago, this time the new Valkyrie AMR Pro is coming.

Originally presented as a concept, Valkyrie has undergone a number of changes and improvements. The overall weight of the vehicle has been reduced by removing the hybrid parts, a new rear wing has been installed, the wheelbase has been reduced, and many carbon parts have been installed.

Aston Martin CEO Tobias Moers said: “The entire Aston Martin Valkyrie program has been an extraordinary adventure in engineering.”

The cars will be built in just 40 units, with a delivery schedule in late 2021.

The Valkyrie AMR Pro is powered by a 6.5-liter V12 engine with 1,000 hp at 11,000 rpm, which is less than the previous version with 1,100 hp. The engine was made by the British company Crosworth. With twice the thrust, the AMR Pro achieves lateral acceleration of more than 3G.

Tobias Moers also said: “As an expression of the passion and expertise that can be found within Aston Martin and its closest technical partners, Valkyrie AMR Pro is a project beyond compare, a true‘ no rules ’track-only version. The Valkyrie AMR Pro is a testament to Aston Martin’s commitment to pure performance and this DNA performance will be evident in our future product portfolio. Nothing else looks like it, nothing else sounds like it, and I am absolutely certain nothing else will drive like it! ”

More information will be released later this year, and all cars will be left-hand drive.
