Daniel Ricciardo with the RB7 in an adventure through Australia

The Australian Grand Prix will take place this weekend (March 31 – April 2) and Red Bull announced it in style with a video showing Daniel Ricciardo behind the wheel of the RB7 in an off-road adventure.

In 2011, the RB7 was used by Mark Webber and Sebastian Vettel. The RB7 helped the German win his second world title, and Vettel named it Kinky Kylie. Ricciardo visited several different locations with the car in order to collect data in order to better prepare the Red Bull Racing team for the challenges of the Albert Park track.

The video also features Hannah Schmitz, Red Bull Racing’s strategy engineer, off-road racer Daniel Sanders, aerobatic pilot Matt Hall, off-road racer Toby Price and supercars driver Shane van Gisbergen.

The story begins on a farm in Perth, Daniel Ricciardo’s hometown. On the way to Melbourne he visits some of the most popular places in Australia such as Outback (NT) dusty roads, Sea Cliff Bridge in Wollongong (NSW), Bondi beach (Sydney), Rural (QLD) and Mount Panorama circus.

The RB7 is powered by a 2.4-liter V8 engine with KERS and has almost nothing in common with cars from the hybrid era, but it is an important story dedicated to Australia.

A one-of-a-kind 2000 TVR Cerbera Speed 12 is up for auction

In 1997, TVR designed a high performance sports car based on the TVR Cerbera, the TVR Cerbera Speed 12. The car was intended to be both the world’s highest performance road car and the basis for a GT1 class endurance racer. However, due to the tightening of regulations in the GT1 class, it remained only as a racing car. In 2003, the manufacturer decided to make only one example of the road-legal 2000 TVR Cerbera Speed 12, and it is now offered at auction.

The TVR was introduced as a 2+2 coupe and was the brand’s first model with an engine produced by the company as opposed to using tuned engines from other manufacturers. The British magazine Evo wrote about this car in 2010, stating that the owner had tuned the V12 engine to 840 hp (618 kW).

The TVR Cerbera Speed 12 weighs less than 1,000 kg and is powered by a 7.7L V12 with 840 hp (618 kW) and 900 lb-ft (1,220 Nm) of torque. Power is transmitted to the rear wheels via a 6-speed manual transmission. As a reminder, the standard model has 660 hp (492 kW).

This unique car is an extraordinary opportunity for all car collectors as well as those who want to become one. The auction will be held on May 20, 2023.

Car accident on the freeway near Los Angeles

Car accidents happen every day, and it’s not uncommon for some to look like movie scenes. One of these happened on a freeway near Los Angeles, California.

A video from a camera installed in a Tesla car was published on twitter, capturing the moment when the front left wheel fell off the Chevrolet Silverado and crashed into the Kia Soul. Due to the speed of the car and the force of the impact, the car was literally catapulted into the air, flipped in the air, landed on its roof, and flipped onto its wheels.

According to the Tesla driver, the driver of the Kia Soul got out of the vehicle without major injuries. Tesla, who was behind the Kia Soul car, was on Autopilot so he made a maneuver to avoid the wheel and parts of the damaged car.
