Electric 1961 Bentley S2 Continental

Many companies are involved in converting old cars to electric, and classic British car specialist Lunaz has unveiled its new electric project, the 1961 Bentley S2 Continental. This is the last work done by this company, based on a model that was produced between 1952 and 1962.

When the car was first introduced in 1952, it was offered with a James Young body. Back then, it was possible to buy a chassis from a car manufacturer and then transport it to a body manufacturer. In this case, James Young produced new larger fenders and a two-door cab. Fully adjustable suspension with coil springs is installed, and the settings can be configured by the driver from the cab. It is equipped with disc brakes with six-piston calipers at the front and four-piston calipers at the rear.

Inside, additional sustainable materials such as upholstery made of regenerated fibers and leather, and it is decorated with certified wood veneers.

Under the hood was a 6.2-liter V8 engine that was removed in favor of an electric motor with 400 hp (294 kW) and 530 lb-ft (719 Nm) of torque. It reaches 62 mph (100 km/h) in 6.9 seconds. The engine is paired with a 4-speed automatic transmission.

100 years of the four-leaf clover on Alfa Romeo cars

In 1923, Ugo Sivocci put a white square sticker with a four-leaf clover on his Alfa Romeo RL at the Targa Florio race. It was the first time that an Alfa Romeo racing car carried such a label. Since he won that race, he believed that it was the four-leaf clover that brought him good luck, and from that moment until today, all Alfa Romeo racing cars carry that lucky amulet.

In addition to marking the 100th anniversary of the use of the lucky four-leaf clover (Quadrifoglio), the Italian company is also celebrating the 60th birthday of the famous Auto Delta division in which they are responsible for Alfa’s racing activities. The main ceremony is scheduled for March 5 and will be held at the Alfa Romeo museum in Arese (Milan). It was also announced that the big parade of Alfa cars with the Quadrifoglio emblem will take place on June 25.

Recently, Alfa Romeo unveiled a unique model from Zagato, called the Giulia SWB. The car is based on Alfa’s SZ and Giulia TZ models, and is built on the shorter Giulia Quadrifoglio GTAm platform, and mechanical solutions from these models were also used.

MH4 600 based on the BMW M4 Competition

Having previously revealed several BMW models such as the MH3 500, the German tuner once again showed why it is considered one of the best tuners in the world. This time Manhart unveiled the MH4 600 based on the G82 generation BMW M4 Competition.

The MH4 600 is powered by a 3.0-liter biturbo S58 engine with 635 hp (467 kW) and 575 lb-ft (780 Nm) of torque. A significant increase in power compared to the standard M4 Competition with 510 hp (370 kW) and 479 lb-ft (650 Nm) of torque, thanks to the installation of the MHtronik auxiliary control unit. It is mounted on matt gold bronze 20 and 21 inch Styling 1000 M forged wheels.

The car is finished in black but this time, unlike most other Manhart works, there are no gold stripes on the car. It is equipped with a MANHART stainless steel exhaust system with valve control, four 100 mm tailpipes, distinctive carbon radiator grille inserts, the side wing inserts, the rear diffuser and fender side blades. The offer also includes MANHART downpipes Race without catalytic converters or MANHART downpipes Sport with 300-cell GESI catalytic converters. Inside, the original luxurious interior has been retained.

Just like the original BMW M4 Competition, the tuned MH4 600 will attract the attention of all car enthusiasts, not only BMW fans, and it should be noted that the options are not approved in Germany and are intended for export.
