The last Honda NSX left the assembly lines

In 1990, the first generation Honda NSX was introduced, which over time won the hearts of many car enthusiasts, especially in the North American market. It remained on the market for 15 years, and some considered it the Japanese Ferrari. This was the reason for Honda to present the second generation of this model in 2016, but this time there was no success.

Recently, the last copy of the second generation hybrid Honda NSX was assembled. Since its appearance in 2015, this car has had the greatest popularity in America, where it was offered with a 3.5 L V6 engine in combination with three electric motors with a total power of 581 hp (427 kW) and 476 lb-ft (645 Nm) of torque. Power is sent to all wheels via a 9-speed dual-clutch gearbox. However, last year Honda teased the NSX Type S via its YouTube channel. The plan was to produce only 350 units of which 300 for the American market. Also, engine power has been increased to 600 hp (441 kW) and 492 lb-ft (667 Nm) of torque. It reaches 60 mph in 2.9 seconds with an electronically limited top speed of 191 mph (307 km/h).

But all that was not enough for the hybrid Honda NSX Type S to stay on the market because Honda announced the electrification of all its existing models, as well as the possible return of forgotten ones, such as the Honda Prelude.

Two decades ago, Honda introduced the last edition of its Prelude model, and now it is widely rumored that a new generation could hit the market by 2028.

Alpha Montage Coupe

The American car company with a focus on electric vehicles, Alpha Motor Corporation, presented a car that represents a modern version of the classic British sports cars of the 1950s, the Alpha Montage Coupe.

The car is 4,400 mm long, 1,850 wide and 1,384 mm high, and the body and chassis are made of Steel, CFRP and Aluminum. It can accommodate four passengers. The dashboard has a retro design with large analog dials with chrome bezels, while the center console features large air vents with chrome details. It has two luggage compartments, front and back.

In front of the driver is a digital display while the seats are covered with premium material. For a better atmosphere, passengers can count on the Premium Sound System.

The Alpha Montage Coupe is powered by an electric motor with 204 hp (150 kW) and 2,460 lb-ft (3,335 Nm) of torque at 15,000 rpm. Power is transmitted to the rear wheels via a single speed 9.53 ratio 2 Stage Spur gearbox with differential. It is equipped with a 400V lithium-ion battery system, a set of 18 inch wheels and has a projected range of 250 miles (402 km).

When it comes to price, the Alpha Montage Coupe costs $499,000.

2023 Porsche 911 Dakar has arrived

After numerous tests on the Nürburgring, the snowy streets of the north and the deserts of Morocco and Dubai, Porsche has finally unveiled a limited edition version of its all-road car, the 2023 Porsche 911 Dakar. The car was premiered at the LA Auto Show, which will be held until November 27, 2022.

The car has a slightly higher suspension compared to the Carrera 4 GTS on which it is based. In Off-Road mode, the distance between the floor and the ground increases by an additional 8 cm in height, while in Rallye mode the distance is reduced from 8 to 5 cm. The new front bumper, revised air intakes and fixed rear wing are just some of the novelties that the 911 Dakar has. At the rear there are round exhaust pipes and a single-piece light bar under the rear wing. With this model, Porsche paid tribute to the Porsche 911 (953), which won the famous Paris-Dakar rally in 1984.

911 Dakar is powered by a 3.0-liter twin-turbocharged boxer 6 engine with 473 hp (348 kW) and 420 lb-ft (570 Nm) of torque. Power is transmitted to all wheels via an 8-speed Porsche Doppelkupplung (PDK). It reaches 60 mph in 3.4 seconds with an electronically limited top speed of 149 mph (240 km/h). It’s mounted on a set of 19 and 20-inch wheels wrapped in 245/45 R19 (front) and 295/40 R20 (rear) all-terrain tires.

Porsche will produce 2,500 examples of the 911 Dakar, and the starting price is €222,000 EUR.

Also, Porsche has decided to refresh several of its models such as the popular 911 Carrera and 911 (992) Cabriolet (as the 2024 model). Both cars will hit the market in 2023.
