BMW E30 M3 with V10 engine

There are many BMW models that are considered legendary, especially those from the M3 Series such as the E30. One of them was equipped by the Renner company with a V10 engine.

Renner modified the suspension and strengthened the chassis. New shock absorbers, coilovers and stabilizer were installed, safety and handling were increased, and the tuner promised that every car will have power steering, air conditioning and much more. The car is painted in Blue Silver Metallic, and in order to keep it as original as possible, Renner did not even add the recognizable front splitter. There’s also a set of 18-inch oversize wheels wrapped in Yokohama tires.

The original exterior was retained, but there were changes to the interior such as a new cluster and sound system, without too much modern technology. The seats are upholstered in black leather that covers the steering wheel, as well as most of the interior.

The BMW E30 M3 is powered by an improved 5.0-liter naturally aspirated S85 V10 engine from the 2008 BMW M5 model that now delivers 625 hp (460 kW), which is almost four times more power than the original M3. The engine has a carbon fiber cover.

The car was exhibited at the SEMA Show and attracted the attention of many, including potential buyers. When asked how much the car costs, Renner representative Ronald Norat said they would sell it for $350,000.

VW Golf A59 is getting back

At the recently held SEMA Show, Volkswagen announced several concepts, one of which is the Golf A59 prototype. The concept was developed at the end of the last century under the name Golf Mk3 Rallye as part of a feasibility study for the company’s possible entry into the World Rally Championship (WRC).

In 1993, Schmidt Motorsport from Cadolzburg created the Golf Mk3 Rallye, and the reason for this was the need for a road model due to the FIA ​​rule for the WRC in 1994, which is the production of 2,500 homologation units of the rally car. Unfortunately, it never went into mass production, and only two examples were produced, of which this one is in driving condition.

The car is equipped with a unique lightweight carbon/Kevlar body kit that includes additional intakes on the front bumper, hood vents made of GRP, significantly wider WRC-inspired fenders, a large spoiler and a sports bumper that has room for four exhaust pipes, but two are still set. There is also a large VW logo on the tailgate, plastic side windows and a rear windscreen. Inside, it is equipped with Recaro A8 seats, a three-spoke steering wheel, a digital instrument cluster, additional controls and a roll cage.

The prototype received Bilstein shock absorbers in the front with a longer stroke and wider shoulders, while the rear is multilink with Bilstein struts. There’s also a set of 16-inch Speedline SL817 wheels wrapped in 225/45 R16 tires.

When it comes to the powertrain, the Golf Mk3 Rallye is powered by a 2.0L turbo 4-cylinder engine with 271 hp (199 kW) and 273 lb-ft (370 Nm) of torque. Power is sent to both axles via a 6-speed manual transmission with a rear limited-slip differential. The A59 reached a top speed of 168 mph (270 kph) and was the fastest Golf at the time.

Honda announces all-electric Prelude by 2028

Two decades ago, Honda introduced the last edition of its Prelude model, and now it is widely rumored that a new generation could soon hit the market.

The last edition was a two-door sports coupe and one of the most exciting cars from the Japanese brand. However, the return of old names has become popular recently, such as the Toyota Supra and Acura Integra. So there is hope for the return of the Honda Prelude as well, and the information was published by the Japanese magazine Best Car Web.

Also, Best Car Web states that Honda may introduce two new electric cars, as hinted at by a recently published teaser. Better experts believe that these could be the successors of the Prelude, but also of the Honda NSX model (also called Acura NSX in North America, China and Kuwait). However, Honda says that the two electric cars will be “special and flagship models” and will be sold on the global market. In addition to the electric models shown in the teaser, Honda said that its primary plan for this decade is the North American, Chinese and Japanese markets.

The current generation Honda NSX is powered by a 3.5L twin turbo V6 engine with 600hp (441 kW) and 492 lb-ft (667Nm) of torque. Power is transmitted to all wheels via a 9-speed dual-clutch transmission. It reaches 60 mph in 2.9 seconds with an electronically limited top speed of 191 mph (307 km/h).
