Nissan GT-R R35 is ending its European journey

Nissan has officially announced that it will stop producing the GT-R R35 sports model for the European market by the end of this month. It all started in 2009 when the first Nissan GT-R was introduced, and now due to strict European norms on noise regulation in cities but also strict rules on exhaust emissions, the Nissan GT-R is ending its European journey.

The Nissan GT-R R35 is powered by a 3.8 L twin-turbocharged V6 engine whose power has, over time, grown from the original 487 hp (358 kW) in the 2009 model to 608 hp (447 kW) in the current model. Power is transmitted to all wheels via a 6-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission with manual shifting mode. It reaches 62 mph in 2.9 seconds with a top speed of 196 mph (315 km / h).

And while the Japanese car company is still considering whether the new Nissan Z will sell in Europe at all, the awesome GT-R R35 will be remembered as one of the best super sports cars of all time.

2024 Audi A6 Avant E-Tron Concept

Last year, Audi introduced the A6 Avant E-Tron Concept as a fully electric station wagon, and the latest information reveals what the vehicle will look like. It is a continuation of the story that Audi started with the recently introduced A6 Sportback E-Tron concept model.

The A6 e-tron concept is built on the Premium Platform Electric (PPE) platform developed by Audi and Porsche. A distinctive look with extra-thin lights, a large Single Frame grille, large side intakes and a centrally lit logo complete the design of the new Audi. The side silhouette reveals a slightly curved falling roof line towards the rear end.

The car is equipped with Matrix LED lights, 22-inch wheels, a wide light bar with digital OLED elements, while the cameras replace the side mirrors.

The A6 E-Tron Concept is powered by two electric motors with 469 hp (346 kW) and 590 lb-ft (800 Nm) of torque. The high-performance model will reach 62 mph in less than 4 seconds and will have all-wheel drive. It is faster than the e-tron GT which takes 4.1 seconds to reach the same speed. The available 100 kWh battery provides a range of up to 435 miles (700 kilometers). Thanks to the fast charger that allows charging up to 270 kW, 5 to 80 percent of the battery can be charged in just 25 minutes. A 10-minute battery charge provides a range of 187 miles (300 kilometers).

The Audi A6 Avant E-Tron Concept will appear in showrooms in 2024.

Lotus Emira First Edition with AMG engine

Lotus premiered its new two-seater Emira V6 First Edition last year. The British car company decided that the car would be powered by a V6 engine. Now the company has announced that it will also offer the M139 engine, from the Mercedes-AMG A45 S.

The new 2.0-liter four-cylinder turbo petrol engine will have 365 hp (268 kW), which is 56 hp (41 kW) less than the Mercedes-AMG A45 S. In this way, the goal is to differentiate between the 2.0 L engine and the V6 engine. Power is transmitted to the rear wheels via an 8-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission.

The Emira V6 is powered by a 3.5-liter supercharged V6 engine with 400 hp (298 kW) and 317 lb-ft (430 Nm) of torque. The engine is paired with a six-speed automatic transmission with paddleshift. As an option, there is also a six-speed manual transmission that works at a slightly lower torque.

The car will be offered in several vibrant paint colors, such as Hethel Yellow, Nimbus Gray, Magma Red, Dark Verdant and Shadow Gray. It will be equipped with LED lights all round, heated power-fold door mirrors and rear parking sensors and titanium exhaust finisher.

The first copies will be delivered at the end of the year, and the order book will be opened in early April. The price of the car in the UK is £ 75,995 ($ 102,935).
