2025 Fiat Ducato

In the early 1980s, a new cargo van, the Fiat Ducato, arrived on the European market. It is a light commercial vehicle that was jointly developed by FCA Italy and PSA Group (currently Stellantis), and now a new generation of the brand’s most successful model and the leading delivery vehicle in Europe is coming to the market.

The new Ducato is available in two lengths: L1 (4.4 m) and L2 (4.75 m). It offers 8 cargo volume options, including up to 17 m³, load capacity up to 2.2 tons (depending on version and accessories), cargo length up to 4.07 m, steering with loading floor, connectivity on the road with the most modern infotainment systems , advanced safety systems to assist the driver and the possibility of additional conversions. The version with a longer body CrewCab has a unique system of modularity between the seat and the cargo area, which is made possible by an innovatively designed sliding partition.

It is equipped with advanced level 2 ADAS systems that provide greater traffic safety and enable stress-free driving, intelligent cruise control system, driver fatigue detection system, automatic emergency braking system with pedestrian detection, improved electronic stability control system, trailer stability control system, lane departure warning system, rear camera.

The front part of the vehicle is slightly different compared to the previous model with a new radiator grill, and a redesigned engine housing and chassis protection. The headlights with Full LED technology are divided into three parts – the lower ones with positional LED lights, the central lights have a very sporty look and provide 30% more illumination than conventional halogen headlights, and the upper part is dedicated to the indicators, which have been refreshed with LED lights with sliders – an attractive effect that is increasingly common in passenger cars, but is now also available in delivery vehicles.

The interior of the vehicle offers more space and comfort, and seats with new upholstery. There is also an electric power steering, which is more precise and manageable in all driving conditions and under all loads. A smaller steering wheel with a smaller turning circle redefines the concept of comfort in the redesigned cabin, which improves ergonomics and reduces stress for the driver and passengers with increasingly demanding work duties. The fully digital 7-inch instrument panel provides a clear display of information and warnings – from satellite navigation to driver assistance systems – and offers customizable settings and connectivity to the Uconnect infotainment system. There are also new Uconnect system interfaces with a screen of up to 10 inches, a premium fully satellite navigation system that includes 3D TomTom maps and wireless connectivity with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto™ systems.

When it comes to powertrains, the new Ducato comes with 88 kW (120 hp), 103 kW (140 hp) and 132 kW (180 hp) engines and a 6-speed manual transmission – available on all power variants – and an 8-speed automatic transmission, which is available in versions with 103 kW (140 hp) and 132 kW (180 hp). For heavy-duty work there are three engines with the highest power and manual and automatic transmissions, which have the same torque as the light models – 450 Nm for the most powerful engine, the largest in its class.

The electric version is equipped with a new 110 kWh battery that enables a range of up to 420 km in the WLTP cycle. The battery is charged from 0-80% in less than an hour, thanks to a fast charger of up to 150 kW, which makes it the most powerful E-Ducat in its category.

2025 Bentley Flying Spur Speed

In 2005, Bentley began production of its full-size car, the Flying Spur. Almost two decades later, the fourth generation of this model arrived on the market as the ultra-luxury sedan Bentley Flying Spur Speed.

At first glance, many will say that this generation is identical to the previous one. However, the Speed is still different from the previous model. It is equipped with Bentley Performance Active chassis, four-wheel steering system, Bentley Dynamic Ride suspension, active torque distribution system and electronically controlled limited slip differential. All this allows for better handling in aggressive driving, but also significantly improved comfort when cruising, and the driver can choose between Comfort, Bentley or Sport mode.

Bentley offers many different configurations, colors and shade combinations, 700 leather combinations, wood choices and much more. Passengers can now enjoy front seats with an integrated Active Bat Transducers system, Wellness Seating Specification for all four seats, which ensures passengers stay relaxed and refreshed. This function together with body position adjustment and automatic seat climate ensures maximum comfort by optimizing body temperature and also adjusts the pressure on the muscles to eliminate fatigue during long drives. There is also a Naim system with 19 speakers and a power of 2,200W, an air conditioning system with air ionizers, a particle filter and smart integration with the navigation system. Over-the-air upgrades will bring new features including a “green light prediction” system to help the driver navigate urban environments more easily.

When it comes to the powertrain, Bentley ditched the 600 hp 6.0-liter W12 engine and replaced it with a new plug-in hybrid 4.0-L V8 twin-turbo engine with 600 hp (441 kW) and a single electric motor (190 hp/140 kW) with a total output of 782 hp (575 kW) and 737 lb-ft (1,000 Nm) of torque. That’s enough to accelerate the Speed from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.5 seconds, which is 0.3 seconds slower than the old model. It is equipped with a 25.9 kWh battery that enables a range of 76 kilometers. The battery can be fully charged in 2 hours and 45 minutes.

VW shuts down production of Polo in Europe

In 1975, Volkswagen introduced a new car from the B-segment, the VW Polo, which was offered worldwide in hatchback, saloon, and estate variants. Four decades later, the time has come to end production of this car at the Spanish plant.

In recent years, sales of the Polo have been in decline, and in 2024, VW sold just over 90,000 examples of the Polo, making it the eighth best-selling car in Europe. It was to be expected that at some point VW would decide to end the production of this car in Europe, so the only factory that will supply markets with this model remained in South Africa.

Since the mid-1980s, when production of the Polo began in Spain, 8.4 million cars have left the assembly line. However, demand for other models such as the T-Roc has changed that. From now on, VW T-Cross and Taigo, as well as some electric models, will be produced in this plant, so VW started to modify the plant. Also, from 2026, two small electric SUVs (ID.2all SUV and Epiq) will be produced at this location, one will be sold by Volkswagen and the other by Škoda. Both will use a smaller version of the MEB platform and will have FWD. The VW ID.2all SUV will take its place below the ID.3 model in the current range, while a hatchback version of this electric car will also be offered on the market and will be produced alongside the Cupra Raval at the Martorell plant in Spain.

The Škoda Epiq will cost around 25,000 euros, while the price of the VW ID.2all SUV is unknown.
