Mercedes-Maybach EQS 680 SUV

Last year, Mercedes-Benz presented the all-electric EQS, and now the luxury version of this model is coming to the market, as well as the first all-electric Maybach, the Mercedes-Maybach EQS 680 SUV. In the American market, it will cost USD $180,000.

This 2.7-ton Mercedes-Maybach EQS 680 SUV is powered by two electric motors with a total output of 658 hp (484 kW) and 701 lb-ft (950 Nm) of torque. That’s enough power to push the car from 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) in 4.4 seconds with an electronically limited top speed of 210 km/h (130 mph). It is equipped with a 120 kWh battery that enables a range of up to 600 kilometers (WLTP).

The car is 5.12 meters long and comes with a long list of standard equipment that includes adaptive air suspension, 21-inch wheels, MBUX Hyperscreen multimedia system with three separate displays, two 11.6-inch displays for two separate rear seat passengers, premium audio system Burmester 4D.

Mercedes-Benz will also offer customers optional equipment that includes a two-tone body, numerous design details and many premium materials in the cabin. All this raises the price of the SUV by an additional $26,000 (USD $206,000).

Ferrari SP-8

The Maranello-based company produces several special cars for special clients every year, and this time it’s a special edition car based on the F8 Spider, the Ferrari SP-8.

SP-8 is powered by a 3.9L twin-turbo V8 engine with 710 hp (522 kW) and 568 lb-ft (770Nm) of torque. It will reach 60 mph in 2.9 seconds, while the top speed has not been revealed. Also, it should be noted that only one copy will be made for a client from Taiwan.

The car is made of carbon components that give it a completely new look compared to the Ferrari F8. Up front is a new cast aluminum grille, special headlight covers, while at the rear, square tailpipes from the 296 GTB and taillights from the Ferrari Roma.

The interior features a combination of old and new. The dashboard from the Ferrari F8 was retained, but the gear lever and F1 transmission adopted the retro look originally introduced on the SF90 Stradale.

The front part of the car is finished in bare carbon, while the rear part is painted in silver. Also, unlike the Ferrari F8, the SP-8 has no roof.

The price has not been announced, but considering the unique design and the fact that it is a unique car, it was not cheap.

Porsche 911 Hybrid Coming in 2025

Last year, the story started about the first hybrid Porsche 911, which was supposed to arrive on the market this year, but it will not happen. According to the latest information, this model should appear on the market together with the redesigned Series 992 in 2025.

For a long time, Porsche refused to make its most popular model, the 911, fully electric. Nevertheless, they decided to follow the other competitors in terms of slowly abandoning the internal combustion engine, and the first step was the production of the first hybrid 911. The car has so far been tested on snowy roads, but also on one of the most famous racing tracks, the Nürburgring. Spy photos showed that the test prototype has a similar design to previous models.

The front end with large air intakes and vertical slats, additional lights on the sides that should not be part of the final design, narrower arches, a smaller spoiler and centrally placed exhaust pipes are just some of the features of this prototype.

“With a reminder that Porsche already has excellent models that are driven only by electric motors, which will soon be joined by the new generation models of the 718 Series, we absolutely do not see a justified reason for the complete electrification of our icon,” said Michael Steiner, a member of Porsche’s department for development.

When it comes to the powertrain, there is a lot of speculation. Some say it could use a naturally aspirated 4.0L engine like the one in the Cayman GT4. Some say it could have over 650 hp (478 kW). There is a lot of information, but only one is true. Which one? Only Porsche knows that.
