This Ferrari Daytona SP3 pays tribute to Enzo Ferrari

Enzo Ferrari was an Italian motor racing driver, entrepreneur and founder of the Ferrari automobile marque. He is largely responsible for the company’s success and the development of some of its legendary models. His son, Piero Ferrari, decided to pay tribute to his late father with a personalized Daytona SP3.

This special Daytona SP3 is painted in the blue and white combination that were the official colors of American racing cars in the 1960s. It was an FIA regulation that required each car to use the colors of the country in which it was based. Although Ferrari is not an American brand, that year it was racing under the flag of the North American Racing Team and so used the blue and white combination. It was inspired by the 250LM Pininfarina model which had the same color combination and a red interior.

The Daytona SP3 is powered by a naturally-aspirated 6.5-L V12 engine with 840 hp (626 kW). As a visitor, the original 250LM was powered by a naturally-aspirated 3.0-L V12 engine with about 314 hp (234 kW).
