In 1989, Ferrari unveiled a mid-engine V8-powered 2-seat sports car, the successor to the 328, the Ferrari 348 TS. It was produced until 1995, and 4,228 cars left the production lines. One of them, a 1989 Ferrari 348 TS, is up for auction.
Ferrari 348 TS is powered by a 3.4L quad-cam Tipo F119 V8 engine with 296 hp (221 kW) and 229 lb-ft (310 Nm) of torque. Power is sent to the rear wheels via a five-speed manual transmission that was sourced from a 1990 Ferrari 348 and installed in December 2022. It reaches 60 mph in 6 seconds with a top speed of 166 mph (267 km/h). It is mounted on 17″ five-spoke alloy wheels wrapped in BFGoodrich g-Force Sport Comp-2 tires.
This car is finished in Rosso Corsa and is in good condition. Also, it was the final V8-powered Ferrari model developed under the direction of Enzo Ferrari. It is equipped with black lower-body panels, removable black roof panel, pop-up headlights, fog lights, side air intakes, louvered taillights, and quad exhaust tips.
Inside, the seats are upholstered in beige Connolly leather, which also covers the door panels, dashboard and center console. In front of the driver is a steering wheel wrapped in black leather. Additional equipment includes a dogleg-pattern gated shifter, air conditioning, a heated rear window, power windows and door locks and an Alpine amplifier mounted in the trunk. The clock reads 37,415 miles.
The car has a clean Carfax report that shows no accidents or other damage. It comes with service records and a clean Oregon title.
The auction ends on February 20th and the current highest bid is $62,000 USD.
