In 1998, Lamborghini introduced a limited edition, the Diablo GT. A year later, the Italian automaker unveiled a version constructed to race in the Lamborghini Diablo Supertrophy, the Diablo GT-R. It was produced in only 30 examples and one of them, the 1999 Lamborghini Diablo GTR, is for sale.
The body of the car, which is almost entirely made of carbon fiber, is finished in Superfly Yellow and is in good condition. It is equipped with a massive rear wing, a fully integrated roll cage, Brembo Racing brakes with ventilated/drilled discs with 4 calipers (front) and 2 calipers at the rear, while the interior is bare. One seat and six-point harness remained, and a fire extinguisher and fresh air supply were added, replacing the air conditioner and stereo.
Under the hood is a 6.0 L V12 engine with 590 hp (434 kW) and 472 lb-ft (640 Nm) of torque. Power is transmitted to the rear wheels via a 5-speed manual gearbox. It reaches 60 mph in 3.5 seconds with a top speed of 210 mph (338 km/h). It sits on a set of 18-inch wheels wrapped in 245/645 R18 (front) and 325/705 R18 (rear) tires.
The Lamborghini Diablo GTR is a collector’s car with only 6,968 kilometers on the odometer. The auction will take place on November 26 and the estimated value of the car is between €775,000 – €875,000 EUR.
