1967 Jaguar XKE Series I 4.2 Roadster is up for auction

In 1961, Jaguar presented a car with a combination of aesthetics, high performance, but also an affordable price, the Jaguar E-Type (Jaguar XK-E for the North American market). It was produced until 1974 in three Series and three versions (FHC, OTS and 2+2), with a total production of 38,419 units. One car from Series I, the 1967 Jaguar XKE Series I 4.2 Roadster is up for auction.

This Jaguar XKE Series I is powered by a 4.2-liter inline-six engine with factory output of 265 hp (195 KW) and 260 lb-ft (353 Nm) of torque @ 4000 rpm. Power is sent to the rear wheels via a four-speed manual transmission. In 2020, the engine was overhauled which included replacement water pump assembly, exhaust manifolds, main rod bearings, and timing chains, valves, guides, Mahle 9.0:1-compression pistons, and installation of replacement bearings, seals, gaskets, and synchro rings in gearbox. It sits on chrome 15″ wire wheels wrapped in 185-width Michelin XVS wide-whitewall tires.

Three years ago the car was renovated and repainted in Opalescent Silver Grey. It has been well maintained and is in good condition. It is equipped with a dark blue soft top with a matching boot, recessed headlights with clear covers, split chrome-finished bumpers, a louvered forward-hinged hood, triple windshield wipers, and taillights mounted above the rear bumpers. During the renovation, the windshield was replaced, the decorative parts were re-chromed, various components of the fully independent suspension were powder-coated, the shock absorbers were replaced, the brakes were overhauled, and the master cylinder, rotor and plates were replaced.

Inside, the low-back bucket seats are trimmed in dark blue leather that also covers the door panels and center console. In front of the driver is a wood-rimmed steering wheel and a five-digit odometer showing 87,519 miles. Additional equipment includes a sliding rear-view mirror and a Becker Europa TR radio.

The car comes with a Jaguar Daimler Heritage Trust certificate, refurbishment photos, partial service records, car show awards, and a clean New Jersey title.

The auction ends on October 6 and the current highest bid is $140,000 USD.

1962 Porsche 356B 1600S is up for auction

The Stuttgart-based company’s first production cars, the Porsche 356, are rare, especially when it comes to well-preserved examples. Regardless of the version and year of production, they attract the attention of observers and especially collectors. It was produced in four versions, and in 1960 Porsche introduced the 356 B with the T5 body type, but two years later it was replaced by the T6 body type. It was produced until 1963 and one well-preserved example, the 1962 Porsche 356B 1600S is up for auction.

The Porsche 356B 1600S is powered by a 1.6-liter Type 616/12 flat-four with factory 75 hp (55 kW) and 87 lb-ft (118 Nm) of torque. Power is sent to the rear wheels via a replacement Type 741 four-speed manual gearbox. It sits on vented gray 15″ steel wheels wrapped in 165-series Michelin XZX tires.

Originally finished in Oslo Blue, the car was repainted in the current black in 2000. At the same time, the interior was reupholstered in dark brown leather that covers the seats, dashboard and door panels. In front of the driver are a wood-rimmed steering wheel and a five-digit odometer showing 71,345 miles (total mileage is unknown). Additional equipment includes aftermarket headrests, door pockets with locking clasps, chrome-plated interior fittings, and a height-adjustable rearview mirror. It has been properly maintained and is in good condition.

This 356B comes with service records, a Porsche Certificate of Authenticity, and a clean Iowa title.

2011 Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG is up for auction

At the 2009 Frankfurt Motor Show Mercedes-AMG presented the first Mercedes-Benz automobile designed and built from scratch entirely by AMG, the Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG. It was produced until 2014 when it was replaced by the SLS AMG GT Final Edition. This 2011 Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG is up for auction.

Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG is powered by the world’s most powerful naturally aspirated production series engine ever produced 6.2-liter M159 DOHC V8 with a factory output of 563 hp (420 kW) and 479 lb-ft (650 Nm) of torque. Power is sent to the rear wheels via a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission and a limited-slip differential. It is mounted on black-finished seven-spoke 19″ and 20″ wheels wrapped in Continental ContiProContact tires.

The car is in excellent condition, well maintained and finished in Obsidian Black Metallic with matte clear paint protection film. It is equipped with gullwing doors with pop-out handles, carbon-fiber trim, bi-xenon headlamps, a speed-activated aerofoil, straked front fender vents, power-folding mirrors, Parktronic parking sensors, quadruple exhaust outlets, Akrapovič exhaust system, and gold -finished AMG-branded brake calipers over carbon-ceramic rotors at all four corners.

Inside, heated power-adjustable AMG sport seats are trimmed in Designo Classic Red leather, which also covers the door panels, dashboard and center console. In front of the driver is a leather and Alcantara trimmed steering wheel behind which is a digital odometer showing 13,407 miles. Additional equipment includes a rearview camera, Keyless Go, optional extended carbon-fiber interior trim, dual-zone automatic climate control, and COMAND infotainment with navigation.

The car has a clean Carfax report that shows no accidents or other damage. It comes with a clean Florida title.
