Opel Crossland sold in more than 500k copies

Opel Crossland is extremely popular among customers and this is proven by the fact that in 5 years, as long as it exists on the market, it has sold more than half a million copies of this, primarily family SUV.

The Crossland comes with a help system that makes driving comfortable and safe, and since last year it has been adorned with a new Opel design. The front looks wider, as if made of a single piece and is adorned with powerful LED headlights.

The car is equipped with cruise control and speed limiter, lane-keeping system and traffic sign recognition, frontal collision warning system with automatic emergency braking and pedestrian detection, driver fatigue warning. There’s also a head-up display, a 180 ° panoramic rear view camera, IntelliGrip automatic traction control and many other technological solutions.

The Opel Crossland is suitable for family travel and provides plenty of luggage space that can be increased to a large 1,255 L by folding down the rear seats. Since 2021, the car also features the Blitz sign (Opel logo) on the front and rear of the vehicle.

The car is manufactured in Zaragoza, Spain. Opel’s plan is to sell exclusively electric vehicles in Europe from 2028. The company has already announced that the successor to the Crossland, as well as any new model with the Blitz logo, will be electrified.

2023 Citroen C4 X

Crossovers have been attracting customers’ attention for a long time. Thus, Citroen introduced the C4 X, which the French company says represents a “unique alternative” to hatchback and SUV models. This is Citroen’s response to the recently introduced Peugeot 408.

The Citroen C4 X should fill the gap between the C4 and C5 X. It is 4,600 mm long, 1,525 mm high and 1,800 mm wide with a wheelbase of 2,670 mm, which makes it slightly smaller than the competitor Peugeot 408. All these figures caused slightly less luggage space (510 L) which should not be a problem for long trips.

The C4 X is powered by a single electric motor with 136 hp (100 kW) and 192 lb-ft (260 Nm) of torque. It reaches 62 mph in 9.7 seconds with a top speed of 93 mph (150 km / h), in Sport mode.

In European markets such as Germany, France, Italy and Spain, the car will be offered with electric drive, while in some markets the model will be available with petrol and diesel engines. It will be equipped with a 50 kWh battery that provides a range of 360 km. Thanks to the 100 kW DC charger, the battery can be charged up to 80 percent in 30 minutes.

All cars will be manufactured at Stellantis plant in Spain.

2023 Hyundai Ioniq 6

Following other large companies, Hyundai has introduced its new electric car, the Ioniq 6, which some consider a direct competitor to the Tesla Model 3. The car has so far passed many tests and now the camouflage has finally been removed.

The minimalist body design refers to the previously unveiled Prophecy concept model. The car is equipped with new technological solutions such as cameras that replace the previous side mirrors. At the rear, reminiscent of a Porsche, are two small duck tails. One under the rear window and the other at the bottom of the rear door. There is also a light bar that extends the entire length of the rear of the car. Inside, a lot of detail is reminiscent of the solutions from the Ioniq 5.

Although there are no specification data, unofficially Hyundai will release all the technical data in the middle of next month. Rumor has it that the capacity of the batteries in the floor will be 77.4 kWh. It is certain that the Ioniq 6 will also be offered in combination with one or two electric motors, such as the Ioniq 5 and the KIA model EV6.

Either way, let’s wait until next month for more information on the Hyundai Ioniq 6.
