Porsche 911 Turbo S with a tent on the roof

We are used to seeing Porsche cars with various modifications and accessories, but some of them are really unusual. Namely, a picture of a Porsche 911 Turbo S with a tent on the roof was recently published on the Facebook group “Live from Greece”.

The car, with German license plates, was parked under the pine branches near the sea, and the group members left many humorous comments, but there were also those who admired the car owner: “A tourist who likes to enjoy nature.” Some remembered camping from the 80s when it was popular along the entire Mediterranean coast.

Obviously, although the owner has an expensive car and can certainly afford a good hotel, he still decided to enjoy it in a better way – in nature.

The 2012 Porsche 911 (997) Turbo S is powered by a 3.8L twin-turbocharged flat-six engine with 530 hp (390 kW) and 516 lb-ft (700 Nm) of torque. Power is transmitted to all wheels via a 7-speed PDK gearbox. It reaches 62 mph in 3.1 seconds with a top speed of 195 mph (313 km/h). It sits on a set of 19-inch wheels wrapped in 235/35ZR-19 (front) and 305/30ZR-19 (rear) tires.

Mercedes-AMG One at the Nürburgring Nordschleife

In 2017, Mercedes began the story of the Mercedes-AMG One concept at the Frankfurt Motor Show, which was finally presented in June of this year. Now, the hybrid beast with a Formula 1 engine is ready to show its performance on the most famous race track, the Nürburgring Nordschleife.

The Mercedes-AMG One is powered by a 1.6-liter Formula 1 V6 turbo engine with 566 hp (422 kW) at 11,000 rpm. Combined with four electric motors, the One has a total of 1,049 hp (771 kW). That’s enough power for this supercar to reach 62 mph in 2.9 seconds, 124 mph (200 km / h) in less than six seconds with a top speed of 217 mph (350 km / h). The engine is paired with a 7-speed gearbox. And yes, the engine meets Euro 6 standards.

The Nürburgring Nordschleife is a race track where all car manufacturers strive to show the best of their cars. In order to set a new track record, the AMG One will have to be faster than the Porsche 911 GT2 RS MR lap time of 6 minutes and 43 seconds. Surely this will not be a problem for this super powerful car if we take into account the fact that the same distance was covered by the Mercedes-AMG GT Black Series in 6 minutes and 43.616 seconds.

Mercedes-AMG One was produced in 275 copies, and all of them have already been sold out. Each buyer paid $ 2.7 million (€ 2.34 million) for one of the fastest cars on the road.
