2023 Honda Civic Type R with 320 HP

On July 20, Honda presented the eleventh and last non-hybrid generation Civic Type R. Although the performance of the new Civic Type R has not been revealed, it is now known that the improved engine, from the 10th generation, has 320 horsepower.

The new generation has a longer wheelbase and a wider wheel track compared to its predecessor. It is also equipped with improved suspension and a set of 19-inch rims with slightly wider Michelin tires. Honda is hiding a lot, including the weight of a car that showed its full potential at the beginning of the year during its last tests. On the Suzuka circuit, it was faster than the Civic Type R Limited Edition by 0.8 seconds, setting a lap time of 2:23:1.

The new Honda Civic Type R is powered by an improved 2.0-liter four-cylinder turbo petrol engine with 320 hp (235 kW) and 310 lb-ft (420 Nm). Power is transmitted to the front axle, which will be assisted by a limited differential lock, via a 6-speed manual transmission.

Honda claims that the new Civic Type R is the best so far. We hope that we will not wait long when it will show its capabilities on the famous German track Nürburgring Nordschleife, where it will try to repeat the result of the previous generation, the fastest front-wheel drive car.

City without speeding tickets

What would you do if you lived in a city where the police couldn’t fine you for speeding? According to THV11, police in the city of Menifee, Arkansas will not be able to ticket drivers for speeding for the next year.

As reported by the local media, this situation is the result of a large number of fines in the last four years, when 2,318 drivers were fined for speeding. Too much for a town with a population of 274. Two years ago, it was determined that the revenue from speeding tickets was almost half of the city budget. However, Arkansas appears to have a law that says revenue from traffic tickets cannot exceed 30 percent of the city’s budget.

A 2020 report showed that the revenue from fines was $120,000, which is why the police cannot fine drivers for a period of one year. When asked by THV11, Mayor Gary Green said that the police were authorized to tolerate 10 mph over the speed limit, but that the officers did not do so. He also said that the increase in revenue for 2020 is the result of paying fines from previous years.

Dear Menifee residents, enjoy driving at a reasonable speed.

BMW X5 M F95 upgraded by Hamann

When it was introduced, the BMW X5 M was considered the first SUV to offer dynamics like a standard car. Now the competition is much bigger, but this model still attracts the attention of both buyers and tuners, and one of them is the German tuner Hamann GmbH.

Unlike other tuners, Hamann did not change the engine power. So the BMW X5 M F95 is still powered by a standard 4.4-liter twin-turbo V8 engine with 617 hp (454 kW) and 553 lb-ft (750 Nm) of torque. That’s more than enough power to push the 2,400 kg SUV to 62 mph in 3.7 seconds.

The car, which at first glance emphasizes the sportiness, is equipped with a special equipment kit that includes aerodynamic parts such as frontspoiler, roof spoiler, new front splitter, rear winglets, rear diffuser with four 115 mm round tailpipe trims, sports springs that make the car 35 mm closer ground, with a set of 23-inch Anniversary Evo wheels in three colors (Hyper Silver, Graphite Gray or Matt Black) wrapped in 315/25R23 Continental Sport Contact 7 tires.

Inside, the comfortable interior will provide driving pleasure even on long distances. The red emblem on the carbon center console and the black logo on the steering wheel is the first thing you will see when you enter the vehicle. There are also sports pedals, Hamann markings on the footrests, floor mats, in the trunk, as well as LED door projectors with the HAMANN logo.
