Michelin developed Pilot Sport S5 tires for the Porsche 911 GT3 RS

Michelin has produced special tires for one of the fastest road-legal cars, the Porsche 911 GT3 RS. These are the Michelin Pilot Sport S5 tires, which have been specially developed with a focus on cold and wet weather.

These tires join the existing three sets of Michelin tires used by the Porsche 911 GT3 RS, including winter tires and the Pilot Sport Cup 2 R ultra-high-performance tires for dry conditions. However, what differentiates the current offering from the Pilot Sport S5 tires is that these tires are more durable, have a depth of 7.4 millimeters and four large central grooves for ejecting a larger amount of water. They also contain a higher amount of silica, which allows them to function optimally at temperatures between 4 and 16 degrees.

Porsche tested the new tires on a 2.7 km long track and the result is outstanding. Using 275/35 ZR 20 front and 335/30 ZR 21 rear tires, the Porsche 911 GT3 RS was almost 10 seconds faster than with the Pilot Sport Cup 2 tires for dry track.

The Michelin Pilot Sport S5 tires can be ordered through Porsche dealerships. “We are responding to the demand of our performance-oriented customers, who have expressed their desire to spend more time on the track during the spring and fall. The new tires significantly increase the annual operating period of the 911 GT3 RS,” said Andreas Preuninger, Director of GT Vehicles at Porsche.

This is the sound of the Bugatti Tourbillon’s engine

In June 2024, Bugatti unveiled its first completely new Bugatti in the last 20 years, the Bugatti Tourbillon. It is a powerful car that the company, which is owned by the Rimac Group, is entering a new era. Its engine sound leaves you speechless.

Mate Rimac posted a video on his Instagram profile with the caption: “What a car… What a car! I don’t think we understand what we have built yet. This will be one for the history books. Here’s to the team! Keep pushing – the world is waiting.”

The car in the video is a prototype covered in camouflage, and Rimac also said that this is how the production car will sound, and that he hopes to keep it without soft limiters.

The Bugatti Tourbillon is powered by a naturally aspirated 8.3-liter cross-plane V-16 engine with 986 hp (735 kW) and 664 lb-ft (900 Nm) of torque combined with three electric motors (789 hp/ 588 kW) with a total power of 1,775 hp (1,324 kW). The new engine allows the hypercar to accelerate to 100 km/h (62 mph) in two seconds, 200 km/h (124 mph) in less than 5 seconds, while the speed of 300 km/h (186 mph) reaches in less than 10 seconds. Top speed is electronically limited to 446 km/h (277 mph).

One of a kind Ferrari Daytona SP3 is for sale

In 2021, Ferrari presented the Daytona SP3, one of the most aerodynamically efficient models ever built. Only 599 units were produced and one of them, the only one finished in BP Green and with the signatures of Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz, is for sale.

The car is currently in the F1rst Motors showroom in Dubai. It is an extraordinary car that will attract the attention of collectors with deep pockets, and its value is estimated at more than 5.5 million euros.

The Daytona SP3 is built from lightweight materials such as carbon fiber and Kevlar. It is equipped with a new induction and exhaust system, vertical bars at the rear that extend the entire length. There’s also a rear spoiler under which the rear lights are fitted, as well as exhaust pipe ends that give the car a more aggressive look.

When it comes to the drivetrain, the car is powered by a 6.5-liter V12 engine from the 812 Competizione with 828 hp (617 kW) and 514 lb-ft (697 Nm) of torque, mounted behind the passenger compartment. For faster gear changes, the engine is paired with a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. It reaches 62 mph in less than 3 seconds with a top speed of 211 mph (340 km/h).
