Mini JCW GP3

Behind the upgrade of the third edition of Mini’s famous GP series is the Dutch company Beek Auto Racing. It is a Mini JCW GP3 model with 330 hp.

In the department of the Dutch company Beek Auto Racing, which deals with Mini cars, they made an effort to offer owners solutions with which the powerful MINI will be even better. The result is a limited edition JCW GP3.

The third edition of the Mini GP series was presented last year and stands at the top of the model range from the generation behind the F56 designation. The JCW GP3 two-seater is powered by a 2.0-liter four-cylinder turbo gasoline engine with 330 horsepower. Power transmission to the front axle is done via an 8-speed automatic transmission.

The Beek Auto Racing engineers did not offer the owners of the third GP a manual transmission, but they raised the power of the BMW engine to 330 hp, which is an increase of 24 hp compared to the base model. Parts of the standard suspension have been replaced by parts produced by AST with which the JCW GP3 will be more comfortable and manageable on uneven roads with asphalt quality that is far from the quality offered on the tracks.

It is equipped with an exhaust system from the British company Milltek, which should ensure better sound quality. In addition to the tires (Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2), the standard mechanical limited differential lock will help in the fight against understeer in corners.

The Czech Republic opposes the ICE ban

After the EU proposed a ban on the production of cars with internal combustion engines (ICE) by 2035, the first opponents of such a proposal emerged. The Czech Republic opposes the ICE ban, although most countries are announcing the dates for the introduction of a ban on the sale of new cars powered by fossil fuels.

“We will not agree with the introduction of a ban on the sale of cars on fossil fuels. That is not possible. We cannot agree with what the green fanatics are planning in the European Parliament,” Czech Prime Minister Babis told local media iDnes.

The Czech Republic is very dependent on the car industry. The car industry currently accounts for a third of the Czech economy. Škoda, Toyota and Hyundai are the largest car manufacturers in the country. With a population of 10 million and the number of cars produced, the Czech Republic is one of the largest car manufacturers in the world.

The Czech Republic will take over the presidency of the European Union from the second half of 2022, and then the ban proposal will be one of the priorities. The Czech Prime Minister added that they will support the implementation of infrastructure for electric vehicles, but will not encourage the production of electric vehicles, reports Auto News.
