Porsche 911 SVSR Hoonipigasus with 1,400 HP

Ken Block is a famous rally driver who will take part in the Pikes Peak race again, but this time as the driver of a unique vehicle. Although under contract with Audi, it seems that he is allowed to “cheat” and get behind the wheel of a Porsche 911 SVSR Hoonipigasus. It should also be noted that the car was not made in Zuffenhausen and is reminiscent of the 1971 Porsche 910/20 “Pink Pig”.

The Pikes Peak International Hill Climb is an extremely demanding 20-kilometer race consisting of 156 turns. The start of the race is at 1,440 and the finish at 4,300 meters above sea level.

The car is the result of the work of BBi Autosport, and is equipped with an adjustable suspension that uses GPS coordinates based on last year’s Pikes Peak telemetry. This makes it clear that Block will be driving his unique Porsche to Pikes Peak in Colorado at the PPO (Pikes Peak Open). It won’t be Block’s first Pikes Peak experience as he drove a 200 hp (147 kW) rally car in 2005. Also, in 2017, he appeared in the movie “Climbkhana: Pikes Peak” with a super powerful Ford Mustang Hoonicorn RTR V2 (1965) with 1,400 hp (1030 kW).

Like the aforementioned Ford Mustang RTR V2, the unique 1000 kg Porsche 911 SVSR also has 1,400 hp (1030 kW). It gets its power from a 4.0-liter twin-turbo engine, which is transmitted to both axles.

1955 Mercedes 300 SLR Uhlenhaut Coupé

In the middle of the last century, the Stuttgart-based company made a special model with the intention of competing in endurance races. It is one of the two Mercedes 300 SLR Uhlenhaut Coupé ever produced, which, as things stand now, could reach an unprecedented price.

The Mercedes 300 SLR Coupé is powered by a 3.0L naturally aspirated V8 engine with 276 hp (203 kW) and 234 lb-ft (317 Nm) of torque. It reaches 62 mph in 7.1 seconds with a top speed of 180 mph (290 km / h), making it the fastest car of the 1950s. The engine is paired with a 5-speed manual gearbox.

The car is named after the man who was the head of Mercedes’ testing and racing activities department, Rudolf Uhlenhaut. The 300 SLR Coupé never got a chance to prove its potential in racing, as Mercedes-Benz abruptly suspended its racing activities due to a tragic accident that occurred in the 1955 Le Mans 24 Hours race.

When it comes to price, the most expensive car ever sold was the Ferrari 250 GTO ($ 70 million). However, as rumors say for the 1955 300 SLR Coupé it will be necessary to set aside a staggering $ 142 million. Who will be the lucky owner of this car will be known after the auction, and the future owner will have to meet some additional conditions, and one of them is that he will not sell the car.

Mustang Shelby GT500-H with 900 HP

Joining multiple companies in creating super cars is not uncommon. Such is the case with the recently introduced tuned icon of the American automotive industry, the Mustang Shelby GT500-H.

The car is the result of a collaboration between Shelby and Hertz, and only 25 GT500-H models will be produced. 19 cars will be painted in Shadow Black black, while six will wear Oxford white. Cars will be available for rent in several American cities.

The car got a carbon bonnet with prominent vents, making it nearly 14kg lighter than the base model. Golden lines across the body and along the sills pay homage to the first Hertz Shelby Mustang cars. We should not forget the aluminum rims with high performance tires. Inside, the cabin is adorned with the Hertz and Shelby Americana logos while the dashboard features a plate with the production number of the copy.

Under the hood is an improved Predator 5.2-liter turbocharged V8 engine with 900 hp (662 kW), from the GT500. It will also be the most powerful car in Hertz’s offer.

The Mustang Shelby GT GT-H will also be available as a convertible and fastback. It is a smaller version that will be powered by a standard 5.0-liter Coyote V8 engine with 450 hp (331 kW). It will be equipped with a special bonnet compared to the standard Mustang GT with vents as well as a new front grille that will have wings on both sides. It will be mounted on 20-inch wheels wrapped in Michelin tires.
