BMW i4 M50 Gran Coupé

MotoGP has a new Safety Car. It is an electric BMW i4 M50 Gran Coupé that will debut at the MotoE Championship race in Austria.

BMW will use this race to present this all-electric model, which is expected to hit the market in November. The car is painted in matte gray with fluorescent green graphics and a light strip on the roof. BMW’s M department has installed an improved chassis, a new braking system, and improved vehicle aerodynamics.

BMW M CEO, Markus Flasch said: “While the production version of the four-door Gran Coupé will hit the market in the autumn, our fans can enjoy its world premiere at the racetrack this summer. There could not be a more appropriate safety car for MotoE than the BMW i4 M50 – pure performance, fully-electric. We are looking forward to the premiere in Spielberg. ”

The new all-electric BMW i4 M50 Gran Coupé is powered by two electric motors. The engines are mounted on the front and rear axles, with a total power of 546 hp and 586 lb-ft (795 Nm) of torque. With all-wheel drive, the i4 M50 Gran Coupé reaches 62 mph in less than 4 seconds with a top speed of 139 mph (225 km / h). The car is equipped with an 83.9 kWh battery that provides a range of 317 miles (510 kilometers).

Speaking of price, the new BMW all-electric model will cost around $ 83,000 (70,000 euros).

Hennessey Exorcist 30th Anniversary Edition based on Exorcist Camaro ZL1

Since 1991, Hennessey has set high standards for high-speed car performance. Celebrating 30 years of existence, the company decided to produce a limited number of Hennessey Exorcist 30th Anniversary Edition.

The Hennessey Exorcist is based on the Exorcist Camaro ZL1. It is powered by a 6.2-liter V8 engine with 1,000 hp at 6,500 rpm and 883 lb-ft (1,200 Nm) of torque at 4,500 rpm. Accelerates from 0 – 60 mph in 2.1 seconds with a top speed of 217 mph (350 km / h). Exorcist achieves this performance thanks to its high-flow supercharger and air induction system.

“The Exorcist is the epitome of the American Muscle car and has the off-the-line performance to embarrass almost any car on the planet. We’ve been making fast cars faster since 1991, with our 30th Anniversary Exorcist pools all we know into one ferocious supercar slayer, ”said company founder and CEO John Hennessey.

Hennessey will only produce 30 copies for the 30th anniversary. Each copy will have an anniversary logo and a numbered Anniversary Edition chassis. The logo will be located on the front flanks, behind the front wheels.

This Anniversary Edition of the Camaro costs $ 135,000, and the price includes the Exorcist Camaro ZL1 with upgraded performance. The car comes with a two-year or 24,000 mile warranty.

50th anniversary of the Mercedes-Benz 300 SEL 6.8 AMG

It’s been half a century since Mercedes legendary model won the Spa-Francorchamp 24-hour race. In his honor, Mercedes-AMG has produced three unique models called 50 Years Legend of Spa.

Back in 1971, Mercedes won the race with the Mercedes-Benz 300 SEL 6.8 AMG. In his honor, the company presented the Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG GT3, the 2016 Mercedes-AMG GT3 and the current version of the Mercedes-AMG GT3.

All models are painted red with stickers used on the 1971 Mercedes-Benz 300 SEL 6.8 AMG. The number 50 on the door represents the anniversary, instead of the number 35 found on the original. Inside, there are many carbon details and an instrument panel with the original signature of AMG founder Hans Werner.

Mercedes models are powered by a 6.3-liter V8 engine with 650 hp and have a new exhaust system, while other specifications have remained unchanged.

A public presentation will be held at this year’s race. Speaking of price, the most expensive is the SLS AMG GT3 and it costs $ 771,000 (650,000 euros). The current version of the Mercedes-AMG GT3 is slightly cheaper and costs around $ 682,000 (575,000 euros), while the cheapest 2016 Mercedes-AMG GT3 is priced at around $ 593,000 (500,000 euros).
