SLR McLaren 722 By McLaren Special Operation (MSO)

In 2003, Mercedes-Benz and McLaren created the SRL model, and now one copy is on sale at a very high price. It is a SLR McLaren 722 By MSO and is selling for € 2.6 million.

The McLaren 722 SLR was modified by the McLaren Special Operation (MSO), and only 25 copies were made. It was created to pay homage to the Mercedes 300 SLR from the ’50s, and by 2009 only 2,157 units had been produced.

The modified SLR has undergone many external changes. It has new bumpers, a diffuser, a new bonnet, a titanium exhaust system and a new aerodynamic body. New ceramic brakes have been installed, the suspension has been redesigned, and a new steering wheel has been installed.

The McLaren 722 SLR is powered by a 5.5-liter V8 engine with 641 hp and 605 lb-ft (820 Nm). Compared to the basic model, it is 50 kg lighter. It reaches 62 mph (100 km / h) in 3.6 seconds with a top speed of 209 mph (336 km / h).

Tesla Semi Electric Truck

Tesla is again delaying the start of production of the Semi electric truck due to problems in the development of the new 4680 battery cells.

Although it was announced that production of the Tesla Semi electric truck would begin this year, the Q2 report confirmed the opposite. This is not the first time that the start of Semi production has been delayed. Mass production of the Semi was supposed to start in 2019, but it was postponed to 2021.

The company informed shareholders that the delay was due to limited availability of battery cells and problems in the supply chain.

“To better focus on these factors, and due to the limited availability of battery cells and global supply chain challenges, we have shifted the launch of the Semi truck program to 2022.”

The Tesla Semi has a range of 300-500 miles and will sell for $ 150,000 (base model with a range of 300 miles) and $ 180,000 (500 miles range). Up to 60 mph comes in 20 seconds with an energy consumption of 2 kWh per mile, and reservations cost $ 20,000.

1969 Ford Mustang with Mercedes AMG powertrain

Have you ever wondered, what would look like an American car with a Mercedes AMG engine? Check out the 1969 Ford Mustang, which has been brought back to life.

Anarchy Garage, a UK-based company, found a 1969 Mustang in very poor condition. The project cost £ 24,000 ($ 33,000), which includes the purchase of cars and AMG parts.

The classic exterior look has been retained, while the drivetrain and interior have undergone changes. A Mercedes dashboard, center console, steering wheel, transmission, as well as seats are installed.

Under the hood is a 5.5-liter twin-turbo V8 engine with 721 hp and 885 lb-ft (1,200 Nm) of torque. It is the same engine used by the 2021 Mercedes E63 AMG. The car is equipped with a seven-speed automatic transmission and rear-wheel drive, and a limited slip differential.

The revived Mustang uses a set of 19-inch tires, and for a safe stop there are six-piston front brakes and four-piston rear brakes.
