Norway: Greater demand for electric cars

When it comes to vehicles sold, Norway is the first country in the world where the share of electric cars is higher than 50 percent. Electric vehicles account for 54.3 percent of the total number of new vehicles sold in 2020.

By 2025, Norway wants to become the first country to end the sale of petrol and diesel cars.
