Growth in demand for Toyota Land Cruiser

After Toyota introduced the new generation Land Cruiser last September, demand for this model has grown rapidly. Toyota’s plan was to sell 5,000 units in the Japanese market, but the Japanese manufacturer received over 21,000 orders, which was a big surprise. The large number of orders led to a major delay in delivery, which was caused by a global problem. That is why Toyota decided to apologize to the future owners.

“We sincerely apologize for the fact that Land Cruiser is well received not only in Japan, but all over the world, so it is expected that after ordering delivery will have to wait quite a long time. Delivery time for all who order now is about 4 years. We will do all that is possible to shorten the delivery time and appreciate your understanding, ā€¯Toyota said in a statement.

Toyota has already announced the arrival of the new Lexus LX 600 in the spring of this year. The car will be manufactured in the same factory as the Cruiser, so it is to be expected that there could be problems with delivery.

The Lexus LX 600 is powered by a 3.4-liter twin-turbocharged V6 engine with 409 hp (301 kW) and 479 lb-ft (650 Nm) of torque. Power is transmitted to all wheels via 10-speed automatic transmission. Reaches 60 mph in 6.8 seconds with a top speed of 115 mph (185 km / h).
