Modified 1973 Porsche 911 is up for auction

A lot of Porsche cars have been sold at auction lately, especially modified old models. One of them is this 1973 Porsche 911, which is listed at auction. It is one of the models from the first series 911, which was produced until 1989.

The car is done in the style of the 911 ST, finished in yellow with a wide white stripe running the entire length of the car and two white stripes on both sides. It is in excellent condition and is equipped with front and rear tow eyelets, external bonnet latches, Cibie driving lamps, dual side-view mirrors, a ducktail rear spoiler, chrome rear bumperettes, central dual-exit exhaust outlets, and red-painted calipers over discs at all four corners.

Inside, the Cobra RSR seats are covered in black leather with basketweave inserts and chrome grommets. Black leather also covers the door panels and dashboard, while the MOMO steering wheel is wrapped in Alcantara. Extras include a roll bar, fire extinguisher, RS-style door pulls, four-point harnesses, a Brantz Rallymeter and a retro-style Bluetooth stereo with Mosconi amplifier and Alpine door speakers. The clock shows 50,546 kilometers (31,407 miles).

When it comes to the powertrain, this car is powered by a 2.5L flat-six engine overhauled by Classic Job of Dalfsen, Netherlands, in 2020. Power is sent to the rear wheels via a Type 915/02 five-speed manual transmission. Classic Job of Dalfsen installed Mahle pistons, S-type camshafts and 36mm intake manifolds, replacement bearings, chains, valves, guides, springs, seals, valve covers, hydraulic chain tensioners, and twin Weber 40 IDA3C carburetors with K&N filters for air along with MSD electronic ignition system. Also, the starter and alternator were overhauled. It sits on 16″ Fuchs-style wheels wrapped in 225/50 front and 245/45 rear Pirelli Cinturato P7 tires.

The car comes with service records, refurbishment photos, and Dutch registration.

The auction ends on April 4th and the current highest bid is $47,250 USD.
