13 neglected Porsche 928 models

Maybe the Porsche 928 isn’t a favorite model of fans of the German brand, but no one likes to see neglected cars falling apart. This is exactly what happens in the case of the 13 units of this model.

The neglected Porsche 928 models were found on a property in the United States. The cars fall into disrepair over time, but the owner does not worry about it, stating that he does not want to restore them, but neither does he want to sell them. The property is covered by surveillance cameras to prevent theft of cars or their parts.

The Porsche 928 was produced from 1978 to 1995, which is a rather enviable period of 17 years. It is a sports car with a front-mounted engine, which has had some success in the US.

The Porsche 928 was powered by four engine types:

  • 4.5 liter engine with 237 hp (177 kW) / 219 hp (222 hp; 163 kW) in North America, and 268 lb-ft (363 Nm) of torque;
  • 4.7 liter engine with 296 hp (221 kW) / 229 hp (167 kW) for North America only;
  • 5.0 liter engine with 288 hp (215 kW) for North America;
  • 5.4 liter engine with 345 hp (257 kW).

The new Mazda 6 is coming in 2022

The Japanese website Spyder7 announced that a new Mazda 6 model is coming next year. The new “6” will be visually similar to the 2017 Vision Coupe Concept model.

The Mazda sedan is often considered the Japanese version of the Alfa Romeo. The new model will be made on a new platform, whose arrival is expected for four years. What is particularly pleasing, however, are the confirmations of earlier speculations.

The Mazda 6 will be powered by a new six-cylinder engine with rear-wheel drive. The engine has not been produced yet, but its production is expected to start next year. There will also be a hybrid version with a 3.0-liter six-cylinder mid-hybrid engine with a 48-volt battery. Rumors says that Mazda will get a plug-in hybrid and an all-electric version.

The arrival of the new Mazda 6 is expected in the first half of 2022. It is not known whether it will be offered on the American market.

Papua New Guinea sells 38 Maserati cars

Three years ago, Papua New Guinea bought three hundred cars, including 40 Maserati and three Bentley Flying Spur. The cars were purchased for the annual Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) summit.

The cars were transported by plane from Sri Lanka. Each Maserati is paid about $ 142,000, in a country where, according to the UN, 40% of the population survives on less than a dollar a day.

Meanwhile, rumors have been heard that the cars have disappeared. The Prime Minister of Papua New Guinea, John Pundari, showed the place where the cars were stored, but there were no remaining 300 cars. Pundari personally admitted that buying a Maserati model was a big mistake.

Authorities decided to sell all 40 Maserati models, but only two were sold. Due to reduced interest, the remaining 38 models were offered at a lower price of $ 114,000.

Given the conditions, primarily roads, lack of service and sales network and general poverty, it is unlikely that cars will be sold in the country.
