Audi Q5 E-tron

Audi is testing a new SUV, although it has not yet introduced the Q4 E-Tron and Q4 Sportback E-Tron. The name is not known yet, it is assumed that the new Audi SUV will be named Q5 E-Tron, and its launch is expected in 2022.

According to the pictures, it seems that the EV will not have a lower front grille, which is understandable, because there is no internal combustion engine that needs cooling. Unlike the MLB-based E-Tron, the EV SUV has been developed on the PPE platform from the beginning, making it different from Audi’s Q offering. Audi is developing the PPE platform in collaboration with Porsche and will be introduced for the first time in the next-generation Porsche Macan.

The PPE platform offers greater wheelbase and better space for battery, air suspension, torque vectoring and rear wheel steering.

Single electric motor setups (rear wheel drive) and dual electric motor setups (AWD) are under development. The car will have a 350 kW battery. Fast charging capability has also been promised for the new platform.

Auto Bild states that a Coupe version of this car can also be expected. However, there is no official information about that yet.

VW ID.Buzz Level 4

By 2025, Volkswagen intends to commercialize the electric van, ID.Buzz Level 4. The car is currently in the testing phase and will use Argo AI technology.

The presentation of the autonomous ID.Buzz vehicle will be in Qatar in 2022. It will be used in public transport on certain routes during the World Cup.

Volkswagen says that the commercial use of the van will be similar to that used by another company within the Volkswagen Group – Moia. ID.Buzz will only operate in certain areas.

Volkswagen is the first company to offer this level of automation. Honda claims that the new generation of Legend sedan will use level 3, in Japan. Late last year, General Motors began testing level 4 in San Francisco.

BMW 4 Series – a new AC Schnitzer project

Last year, BMW unveiled the 4 Series Coupe which provoked various comments. German company AC Schnitzer, which specializes in BMW cars, has tuned two models, the 430i and M440i.

In the M440i, AC Schnitzer has installed a new stainless steel exhaust system, a sports suspension with a set of springs that lower the car by 30 mm. The BMW M440i has a 3.0-liter six-cylinder engine with 420 hp and 443 lb-ft of torque.

The 430i has a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine with 296 hp and 347 lb-ft (470 Nm) of torque.

Both models feature a new set of 19 or 20-inch wheels in diamond cut, gray or black.

The price of the upgrade is not known, but the five-year warranty gives some peace of mind.
