1974 Porsche 911 Carrera is for sale

Lately we can see a large number of modified cars fetching a great price at auctions. Some of them are not so well done, but there are also those that even the biggest opponents of modifications would like to own. One such is the 1974 Porsche 911 Carrera with RS specifications that is being auctioned.

Under the hood is an air-cooled 2.7-liter flat-six engine that was rebuilt and assembled by a California company, Competition Engineering Lake Isabella, while assembly was completed by an Oregon company, Dick Elverud. Last year, it was serviced when the valves were adjusted, the fuel pump was replaced, the oil, spark plugs and valve cover gaskets were changed, and the PerTronix ignition system was installed. The engine is paired with a five-speed 915 manual transmission that delivers power to the rear wheels. It’s mounted on 930-specification 16″ Fuchs wheels wrapped in 205/55 and 245/45 Bridgestone Potenza S-03 Pole Position tires.

This car is finished in Grand Prix White, well maintained and in excellent condition. It is equipped with a sunroof, a steel RS ducktail spoiler, a front lip spoiler, amber rear corner lights, European-market headlights, fog lights, custom dual-outlet rear valance, polished-aluminum aluminum trailing arms, powder-coated suspension components, Bilstein dampers at all four corners, four-wheel discs with cross-drilled rotors and stainless-steel brake hoses.

Inside, the seats are trimmed with black upholstery, while black leather covers the door panels and the dashboard to which the fuel and electrical system shut-off switches have been added. In front of the driver is a MOMO Prototipo steering wheel and a five-digit odometer showing 3,813 miles.

The car comes with service records, owner’s manuals, a Porsche Production Specifications document, and a Montana title in the name of the owner’s LLC.

The auction ends on February 17th and the current highest bid is $130,000 USD.
