Two months ago, the Romanian car manufacturer Dacia presented a new generation of its SUV model, the Dacia Duster, and then it was promised that the car would be affordable for a larger number of customers and that the price of the entry model would not exceed 20,000 euros.
The new generation of Duster will be offered in four versions: Essential, Expression, Extreme and Journey. The entry model Dacia Duster Essential is powered by an ECO-G engine costs 18,800 euros, while the model with the Expression equipment package costs 20,000 euros, on the Romanian market.
In order to satisfy the wishes of all customers, Dacia has prepared different packages for every customer profile, from washable covers and modular roof racks, to luxury equipment such as automatic handbrake or Nav multimedia system Live, etc. The exterior color palette has also been expanded and now includes seven new and refreshed colors.
It has already been known that the new Duster will not be powered by diesel engines. Thus, customers will be able to choose between the TCe engine with 130 hp (97 kW) with a 48V mild hybrid system (4×2 or 4×4 drive) paired with a 6-speed manual transmission, the hybrid version of the Duster Hybrid with 140 hp (104 kW) that powers the Jogger model, paired with an automatic transmission. The offer also includes the ECO-G engine with 100 hp (75 kW), taken over from the previous generation.
Dacia announced that the order book will be opened at the beginning of March and that delivery will begin by the summer of 2024.
