1995 Aston Martin DB7 owned by Sir Elton John is up for auction

Between 1994 and 2004, Aston Martin produced 7,000 units of the DB7, and one of them, the 1995 Aston Martin DB7, is up for auction. This car was previously owned by British singer Sir Elton John.

This Aston Martin DB7 is finished in Rolls-Royce Brewster Green over custom Light Tan interior, and is in excellent condition with only 14,500 miles on the odometer. It is equipped with Alpine stereo with remote control, 6 stack CD changer in boot with large Alpine V12 amplifier, Motorola car phone in center console under arm rest, stainless front mesh grille, heated front and rear screens, heated front seats, fully adjustable electric seats, Aston Martin Stage 1 stainless steel rear exhausts, Aston Martin electric tire compressor, Cobra Cat 1 alarm, cruise control, electric aerial, space saver tire, and correctly functioning air-conditioning.

Under the bonnet is a 3.2-L DOHC straight-six engine with 335 hp and 360 lb-ft of torque, mated to a 5-speed manual transmission that sends power to the rear axle. It accelerates from 0-60mph in 5.6 seconds with a top speed of 165 mph.

The car comes with an original warranty card in Sir Elton’s name along with a copy of its first V5 document. The auction will take place on 9 April 2025 and the car is estimated to fetch £23,000 – £27,000.

2026 Aston Martin Valhalla

It’s been five years since Aston Martin revealed the prototype of its new two-seater super sports car, the Valhalla, and now the production version is finally here. It’s a limited edition car that will be built in 999 units.

The car was created in cooperation with the Red Bull Formula 1 team, and the active aerodynamics of the carbon body, with which it is possible to change the level of grip in turns, will be very useful on the track. It is equipped with carbon-ceramic brakes, active suspension that is part of the IVC (Integrated Vehicle Dynamics Control) system, and 20 and 21-inch wheels wrapped in Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tires. The cockpit features racing carbon seats and an F1-style multifunction steering wheel, as well as many carbon details.

When it comes to the powertrain, it was initially said that the car would be powered by a hybrid option with a V6 engine, but that is not going to happen. It will be powered by a 4.0-liter V8 biturbo engine supported by three electric motors with a total output of 1,078 hp (793 kW), of which more than 820 hp comes from the V8 engine. It accelerates to 100 km/h (62 mph) in 2.5 seconds with a top speed of 349 km/h (217 mph).

Production of the Aston Martin Valhalla will start in Q2 2025, and the company has not yet released a price.

Aston Martin Valkyrie is the king of Silverstone Circuit

In 2021, Aston Martin began production of its new hypercar, the Valkyrie. The last example will soon leave the plant, and before that happens, the Valkyrie has set a new record for road legal cars at the Silverstone circuit.

The Valkyrie is powered by a Cosworth 6.5L naturally-aspirated V12 engine assisted by an electric motor totaling 1,160 hp (865 kW) and 664 lb-ft (900 Nm) of torque. Power is sent to the rear wheels via a 7-speed Ricardo single-clutch automated manual transmission. It reaches 100 km/h (62 mph) in 2.6 seconds with a top speed of 402 km/h (250 mph).

Behind the wheel was Darren Turner, winner of the 24 Hours of Le Mans, who unleashed all the car’s power on the track. It set the fastest lap time of 1:56.42 on the 5,891 km (3,661 miles) long course, which is more than 20 seconds (2:06.83) faster than the previous fastest car, the Porsche 911 GT2 RS. The Valkyrie is also was also faster than the Lamborghini Huracan GT3 which, on slick tyres in 2019, set a lap time of 1:58.165.

“The car performed brilliantly, I’m not sure I could have done better. If the day had been better, as well as the conditions, “I could have maybe gotten a few more tenths. It’s incredible that this is a road-legal car that you can drive around Silverstone faster than the pole lap in the British GT Championship,” said Turner.

Although it had rained the day before, the Valkyrie still with Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tires managed to achieve an extraordinary time with a top speed of 330 km/h.
