1989 Porsche 911 Carrera 25th Anniversary Edition for sale

In 1988, Porsche celebrated the 25th birthday of the 911 model, and on that occasion it produced 875 examples of the 911 Carrera 25th Anniversary Edition, of which 300 examples were exported to the United States. One of them, the 1989 Porsche 911 Carrera 25th Anniversary Edition is up for auction.

This Porsche 911 Carrera 25th Anniversary Edition is powered by a 3.2-liter M930/25 flat-six with 214 hp (160 kW) and 195 lb-ft (264 Nm) of torque. Power is sent to the rear wheels via a G50 five-speed manual transmission. The engine is equipped with Bosch Motronic management, and in 2023 it was serviced, which included valve adjustment and oil change. It is mounted on black-painted 16″ Fuchs alloy wheels wrapped in Pirelli P Zero Rosso tires.

The car is finished in Silver Metallic and is one of 240 coupes in this color. It is equipped with a power-operated sunroof, integrated fog lights, headlight washers, power-adjustable side mirrors, tinted windows, a rear window wiper, and front and rear spoilers. In 2021, the front spoiler, windshield, and rubber moldings were replaced, and rear Bilstein shock absorbers were installed. Tie rods, brake pads and rotor were replaced last year.

Inside, the power-adjustable front seats are upholstered in Silk Gray leather with dark piping, which also covers the door panels, dash and center console. Behind the driver is a leather-wrapped sport steering wheel and a six-digit odometer showing 62,722 miles. Additional equipment includes a short-throw shifter, cruise control, air conditioning, power windows and locks, and a Porsche Classic radio with navigation.

According to the Carfax report, the car had an accident in 2022 when the front part was damaged, which required the headlights to be replaced. It comes with a Porsche Classic Technical Certificate, the owner’s manual, removed parts, a tool kit, service records, and a clean California title in the seller’s name.

The auction ends on February 20 and the highest bid at the time of writing was USD $35,500.

1958 Porsche 356 Emory Special Speedster is for sale

At a time when electric cars are so common on the streets, it’s nice to see old cars, especially collectible ones. Such is the case with this example of Porsche’s first production car, the 1958 Porsche 356 Emory Special Speedster that is up for auction.

This Porsche 356 Emory Special Speedster is powered by a 2.6-liter “Outlaw-4” flat-four (by Jeff Gamroth of Rothsport Racing) with 260 horsepower. The engine is equipped with a sand-cast aluminum case, 6061 billet camshaft housings, Elgin billet camshafts, crankshaft stroke, Rothsport fuel injection with individual throttle bodies, MoTec-managed twin coil-on-plug ignition, and full-flow dry-sump lubrication system with coolers and a remote filter, a Fuelab fuel pressure regulator and gauge, and fiberglass shrouding. Power is sent to the rear wheels via a Type 901 five-speed manual transmission. It sits on 16” billet aluminum wheels wrapped in 205/55 Michelin Pilot Sport All-Season tires.

The car was produced in 1958 as a coupe, but was converted to a Speedster more than a decade ago. Three years ago, a two-year rebuild and conversion into the Emory Special began, which included a re-contoured 550 Spyder-inspired nose with a vented oil-cooler grille, flipped decklids, Pre-A-style roll panels and raised wheel arches. It is equipped with raked headlights, a through-hood competition-style fuel filler, “Special” badging, raked beehive taillights, black canvas soft top, custom suspension, PEP adjustable shock absorbers, front and rear sway bars, and a Spyder-style shine- down license plate lamp.

Inside, the fixed-back seats are upholstered in Hydes cognac leather with basket-weave inserts, and leather also covers the door panels and dash. Oatmeal carpets cover the floors, rear shelf, and seatbacks. In front of the driver is a Derrington-style steering wheel and a five-digit odometer showing 694 miles. Additional equipment includes black rubber floor mats, latch-and-link lap belts, an Emory-branded wooden shift knob, door pockets, Classic Retrofit electric air conditioning, and a hidden Bluetooth sound system.

The auction ends on February 9 and the highest bid at the time of writing is $502,000 USD.

2007 Porsche 911 997.1 GT3 RS is up for auction

In 1999, Porsche presented a high-performance homologation model of the Porsche 911, the Porsche 911 GT3. It was an extremely successful racing car, and in 2006 Porsche presented the boldest generation of this model, the 911 997.1 GT3 RS. It was produced until 2009, and 1,168 units left the production line, of which 410 units were sold in the United States. One of them, the 2007 Porsche 911 997.1 GT3 RS is up for auction.

This GT3 RS is powered by a 3.6-liter Mezger flat-six with factory 415 hp (309 kW) and 299 lb-ft (405 Nm) of torque. Power is sent to the rear wheels via a six-speed manual transaxle and a limited-slip differential. The engine is equipped with VarioCam variable valve timing, titanium connecting rods and dry sump lubrication.

The car is finished in Carrara White (only 39 examples have this color), and is in good condition with only 3,289 miles on the odometer. It is equipped with a carbon-fiber rear wing, wider quarter panels, bi-xenon headlights, black wing end caps, twin center-exit exhaust outlets, Porsche-branded calipers over ceramic-composite rotors, and Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM) featuring adjustable coilovers.

Inside, hard-back sport seats are upholstered in black leather and Alcantara, while the optional leather-wrapped thicker steering wheel frames a central GT3-branded tachometer with an 8,400-rpm redline, a 225-mph speedometer, and auxiliary gauges. Additional equipment includes the Carbon Interior Package, Speed Yellow seatbelts, a CDR24 stereo, automatic climate control, cruise control, and illuminated GT3 RS-branded carbon-fiber door sill guards.

The car has a clean US Carfax report that shows no accidents or other damage. Comes with a build sheet, service records, a car cover, one key, and a clean Ontario registration.

The auction ends on February 9 and the highest bid at the time of writing was $205,000 USD.
