The successor to the Bugatti Chiron will be revealed on June 20

After eight years of production of one of the most powerful cars and the pride of Bugatti, the Chiron, the time has come for this model to say goodbye. Its latest version, the Bugatti Chiron L’Ultime, was revealed recently and now we know its successor. It’s a hypercar that will be revealed on June 20.

Bugatti is still keeping the technical data a secret, and what is known for now is that the successor to the Chiron will be powered by an atmospheric V16 hybrid engine with around 1,800 hp (1,342 kW), as a replacement for the current W16 engine. According to unofficial information, the new engine will allow the hypercar to accelerate to 100 km/h (62 mph) in two seconds, 200 km/h (124 mph) in less than 5 seconds, while the speed of 300 km/h (186 mph) reach in less than 10 seconds. Top speed will be electronically limited to 446 km/h (277 mph).

The car will be produced in only 250 copies and the first deliveries will start in 2026.

The recently produced 500th example of the Chiron and its final edition, the Bugatti Chiron L’Ultime, is powered by an 8.0-L W16 quad-turbo engine with 1,600 hp (1,193 kW) and 1,180 lb-ft (1,600 Nm) of torque, mated to a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission that sends power to all wheels. The top speed is 440 km/h (273 mph).

“This 500th and last Chiron is a fitting farewell and radiates a legacy that will forever be part of automotive history, while also paving the way for a brighter new chapter. The journey begins with the production of the Bolide and the W16 Mistral and continues with the launch of our new model in June.” said the President of Bugatti Automobiles Christophe Piochon.

2025 Bugatti Chiron L’Ultime

At the 2016 Geneva Motor Show Bugatti revealed a mid-engine two-seater sports car, the Bugatti Chiron. Eight years later and after 500 cars produced, this model has finally come to an end. The last car to leave the factory is the Bugatti Chiron L’Ultime.

The car is finished in a combination of French Racing blue and Atlantic blue, and the individually painted front and rear wheels complete the shades of the body. The Bugatti logo on the grille is decorated in blue. Handwritten on the sides are the names of significant places that played a key role in the development and life cycle of the Chiron – Geneva, Chantilly, the Paul Ricard and Ehra-Lessien circuits, Saint Jean Castle, Cape Canaveral and Bugatti’s home in Molsheim.

In the cockpit, a combination of blue leather upholstery with blue carbon matte details and French Racing blue trim, special details such as L’Ultime and #500 badges in various places, as well as hand-cut and stitched leather on the door panels, are just some of the details that adorn car interior.

When it comes to the powertrain, the Bugatti Chiron L’Ultime is powered by an 8.0-L W16 quad-turbo engine with 1,600 hp (1,193 kW) and 1,180 lb-ft (1,600 Nm) of torque, mated to a seven-speed dual- clutch transmission that sends power to all wheels. The top speed is 440 km/h (273 mph).

Last Bugatti Chiron with 1,500 PS

At the 2016 Geneva Motor Show Bugatti revealed a mid-engine two-seater sports car, the Bugatti Chiron. The intention was to produce only 500 examples of this model, and now the last example with 1500 PS has left the production line in Molsheim.

The car is finished in Nocturno and Copper, and was delivered to its owner, Bilal Hydrie. Hydrie is the founder, CEO, and President of Inclusive Energy. He ordered his car back in November 2021, and at that time he paid about 3 million dollars for it. You could say cheap, given that at the beginning of 2023, the Bugatti Chiron Profilee was sold for $9.79 million.

Bugatti Chiron Profilee is powered by an 8.0-liter quad-turbo W16 engine with 1,480 hp (1,103 kW) and 1,180 lb-ft (1,600 Nm) of torque. The same engine powers the Bugatti Mistral. It reaches 62 mph in 2.3 seconds with a top speed of 380 km/h, which is 30 km/h more than the Chiron Pur Sport (350 km/h).

The Bugatti Chiron was produced in several versions, and it is still unknown how many copies of the Chiron Pur Sport model, as well as the Mistral and Bolide models with W16 engines are left. All of them should reach their owners by the middle of this year.

Bugatti’s plan is to replace the existing W16 engine with a hybrid V8 in the near future, which should arrive with the successor to the Chiron.
