One of a kind Bugatti Chiron Profilée

Bugatti recently announced that it has produced 80 percent of the planned 500 examples of the Bugatti Chiron. Now from Molsheim Atelier comes a new, perhaps the most controversial edition of this model, the Chiron Profilée. This unique car will be offered at auction on February 1, 2023 in Paris.

Although it was previously announced that the Bugatti Mistral would be the last model powered by a W16 engine, Bugatti decided that the Chiron Profilée would also be powered by the same 8.0-liter quad-turbo W16 engine with 1,480 hp (1,103 kW) and 1,180 lb-ft (1600 Nm) of torque. It reaches 62 mph in 2.3 seconds with a top speed of 380 km/h, which is 30 km/h more than the Chiron Pur Sport (350 km/h).

This unique car is based on the Pur Sport model, but instead of the raised full-length rear wing, an integrated spoiler is installed, which still generates 80 percent of the Pur Sport’s downforce. It is equipped with a large rear spoiler, wider air intakes, a larger grille to improve cooling, a redesigned front splitter, 10 percent stiffer springs and magnesium wheels. The rear wing has a double function, with its upper surface it creates downforce and with its lower surface it removes hot air.

This is an extraordinary opportunity for all car enthusiasts and especially collectors to own such a unique car.

Also, a few days ago Mate Rimac announced the arrival of a new supercar that will be like no other before: “It’s completely new, so there’s not a single part that’s taken from any car. Nothing carried over from the Chiron, nothing carried over from the Nevera. Everything’s been made from scratch,” said Mate Rimac.

Mate Rimac announced the new Bugatti hypercar

A few months ago, Mate Rimac announced a ten-year plan for Bugatti. Everyone wondered if Bugatti would follow in the footsteps of competitors like Porsche or Ferrari when it comes to SUVs. In an interview with Automobilwoche he said that Bugatti will not produce an SUV in the near future, but that they will not produce a fully electric Bugatti either. At least not in the next ten years. “A purely electric version is not included in our 10-year plan for Bugatti. There will also be no SUV,” said Mate Rimac. Now Mate has announced a new Bugatti hypercar with an all-new internal combustion engine.

With the Mistral and Bolide models, Bugatti formally says goodbye to the famous 8.0-liter W16 engine. The powerful engine with a quadruple turbo will end its journey in 2024. In an interview with Auto Express, Rimac surprised everyone and announced that they started developing an internal combustion engine two years before the merger with Bugatti. Mate claims that everyone will be delighted when the new model is unveiled next year. He also said the new car won’t be like the current Bugatti models: “It’s completely new, so there’s not a single part that’s taken from any car. Nothing carried over from the Chiron, nothing carried over from the Nevera. Everything’s been made from scratch,” said Mate Rimac.

The differences between the next Bugatti and the Nevera will extend beyond the powertrain, explains Mate Rimac: “The concept and idea of the Bugatti is to be a car that you can come to the theater with, but later drive at 400 km/h on the highway. It will be even more beautiful, a more analog car, like some expensive and precisely crafted wristwatch. With the Rimac, we want it to be and remain an absolutely insane, all-electric hyper sports car that drifts at 60 km/h with a huge cloud of smoke behind you, that also has autonomous drift modes, as well as other futuristic stuff.”

When it comes to other Bugatti cars, recently the Bugatti Mistral, the last to be powered by the W16 engine, became the fastest convertible reaching a speed of 261 mph (420 km/h). It is powered by a centrally located turbocharged 8-liter W16 engine with 1,600 hp (1,177 kW) and 1,180 lb-ft (1,600 Nm) of torque. The same engine powers the Bugatti Chiron Super Sport 300+. It reaches 62 mph (100 km / h) in just 2.4 seconds, 124 mph (200 km / h) in 5.8 seconds, and 186 mph (300 km / h) in about 12 seconds. Power is transmitted to all wheels via a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission.

Bugatti has already produced 80 percent of the Chiron cars

Six years ago Bugatti began the story of 500 Chiron cars that will be powered by the W16. All the cars are already sold out and so far the company, which became part of the Rimac Group a few months ago, has produced 80 percent of the planned cars.

With the published photo of the 400th Bugatti Chiron Super Sport, Bugatti celebrates the success of the expensive hypercar, and 20 workers worked on assembling 1,800 components. “Every part of the Chiron is a masterpiece, and assembly requires the most dedicated and exquisite specialists in the world. Our painting process, or finishing process, is so detailed that it takes up to eight layers to achieve the desired effect. Each layer is polished to perfection, a deep and brilliant mirror effect,” said Cristophe Piochon, president of Bugatti.

Bugatti continues to produce the remaining 100 examples, which will not be the last to be powered by the W16 engine. The honor will go to the Mistral and Bolide models.

Bugatti Chiron Super Sport is powered by a turbocharged 8-liter W16 engine with 1,600 hp (1,177 kW) and 1,180 lb-ft (1,600 Nm) of torque. It reaches 62 mph in 2.4 seconds, 124 mph (200 km / h) in 5.8 seconds, and to 186 mph (300 km / h) in about 12 seconds. The top speed that the Super Sport can reach is electronically limited to 273 mph (440 km / h). Power is transmitted to all wheels via a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission.

The car is painted green combined with Fierce alloy details around the front fascia, in the central part of the rims and elsewhere, while the hood is in Nocturne color. It is equipped with Sport Magnesium rims that raise the appearance of the hypercar to a higher level. The same color combination can be seen in the interior of the car. The seats are upholstered in a combination of green and Beluga black leather. A special atmosphere is provided by the Sky View roof, which provides natural light.
