Bugatti opened a showroom at La Rascasse

Monaco and its streets are home to one of the most interesting and perhaps the most difficult races in Formula 1, and it is considered the jewel of the F1 calendar. This place is very important for Bugatti, for which it has good memories, and now the company has opened a showroom in this location.

Bugatti, which achieved victory in the first Monaco Grand Prix in 1929, competed with the Type 35B car driven by William Charles Frederick Grover. Louis Chiron, the Bugatti driver after whom the Chiron model was named, was also born in Monaco in 1899. He won the same race (Monaco Grand Prix) 32 years later, and although Bugatti is not currently in Formula 1, the brand has returned to one of its “spiritual homes”.

The salon is located in the legendary La Rascasse, and the Bugatti W16 Mistral has a central position in the salon. During the opening, guests could also see unique cars such as La Voiture Noire, one of ten Centodieci hypercars produced in honor of the EB110 model, the Divo and the hand-painted Chiron Pur Sport known as the Gran Prix.

Bugatti Mistral is powered by a centrally located turbocharged 8-liter W16 engine with 1,600 hp (1,177 kW) and 1,180 lb-ft (1,600 Nm) of torque. The same engine powers the Bugatti Chiron Super Sport 300+. It reaches 62 mph (100 km / h) in just 2.4 seconds, 124 mph (200 km / h) in 5.8 seconds, and 186 mph (300 km / h) in about 12 seconds. The top speed that the Bugatti Mistral can reach is electronically limited to 273 mph (440 km / h). Power is transmitted to all wheels via a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission.

Bugatti has produced and delivered 80 cars in the last year

After recently announcing that it produced 4/5 of the total of 500 planned examples of the Bugatti Chiron, Bugatti announced that last year was a record year when it comes to car production. The company managed to produce and deliver 80 cars.

Among the produced hypercars with a W16 engine last year was the 400th Chiron, as well as the last ten copies of the Chiron Super Sport 300+. All ten examples of the Bugatti Centodieci were also produced and delivered, as were all examples of the Chiron and Chiron Sport models for European customers. Many of these cars are modified according to the wishes of the customers.

When it comes to this year, from Molsheim Atelier comes a new, perhaps the most controversial edition of the Chiron, the Chiron Profilée. This unique car will be offered at auction on February 1, 2023 in Paris. Also, the production and delivery of the remaining 100 Chirons will continue, and the configuration of the Mistral and Bolide models is also expected to begin.

Chiron Profilée will be powered by an 8.0-liter quad-turbo W16 engine with 1,480 hp (1,103 kW) and 1,180 lb-ft (1,600 Nm) of torque. It reaches 62 mph in 2.3 seconds with a top speed of 380 km/h, which is 30 km/h more than the Chiron Pur Sport (350 km/h).

Bugatti Centodieci

The audience saw the Bugatti Centodieci prototype for the first time in 2019. The car is in the test phase, and only ten units of this limited edition supercar will be delivered to buyers in the middle of next year.

Since 2019, the Bugatti Centodieci has been in the development and testing phase in various climatic conditions around the world. The tests take place in the southwestern United States, and the last few photos show the Centodieci test model in the company of the Chiron Pur Sport and Chiron Super Sport models.

The tough tests that Bugatti models undergo are nothing new for the famous car company. After testing at temperatures above 50 degrees Celsius, Bugatti engineers equipped the production version of Centodieci with additional air vents that allow better cooling.

The Bugatti Centodieci is powered by an 8.0-liter quad-turbocharged W16 engine which delivers a total of 1578 hp (1,176 kW). It reaches 62 mph in just 2.4 seconds with a top electronically limited speed of 240 mph (380 km / h).

Before production begins, the car also needs to pass a long-term endurance test at high speeds. The test will take place on the famous Nardò test track. In addition, the test model needs to cover about 300,000 kilometers on European roads.
