The ultra-sporty model is longer than the standard Chiron, thanks to a new aerodynamic carbon body. It is painted in black with orange details that are reminiscent of the original Bugatti Veyron Super Sport World Record Edition, which was the fastest production car in 2010.

Bugatti Chiron Super Sport 300+ is powered by a centrally located turbocharged 8-liter W16 engine with 1,600 hp (1,177 kW) and 1,180 lb-ft (1,600 Nm) of torque. Thanks to its impressive power, it reaches 62 mph (100 km / h) in just 2.4 seconds, 124 mph (200 km / h) in 5.8 seconds, and 186 mph (300 km / h) in about 12 seconds. The top speed that the Super Sport 300+ can reach is electronically limited to 273 mph (440 km/h). Power is transmitted to all wheels via a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission.

In 2019, the hypercar was the fastest production car in the world, reaching a speed of 490.484 km/h at the Ehra-Lessien test track in Germany.

British Police Fined Bugatti Chiron Driver

The Bugatti Chiron Super Sport 300+ is the fastest production Bugatti model, that attracts attention wherever it appears. Because of its engine power and speed, drivers are often fined for speeding. However, one driver of a Bugatti Chiron was stopped by London police and fined for not having a front license plate.

Possession of both license plates (front and rear) in Europe is mandatory. The harmony on this car must not disturb any detail, not even the front license plate. This is clearly disagreed with by the London police, who for this reason stopped the new Bugatti with less than 400 kilometers on the odometer, and fined him 100 pounds (approximately 135 euros).

Mate Rimac announces the possibility of keeping the Bugatti W16 engine

At the beginning of the year, the companies publish data on the business achieved in the previous year, but also plans for the future. Thus, Mate Rimac used the opportunity to announce that the successor of Bugatti Chiron is currently in the process of development, and that it will have its premiere in 2024.

In a video released this month, Rimac spoke about the corporate structure of the new factory. He said he thinks there is a future for internal combustion engines, which was a surprise for someone who owns a company whose success is based on fully electric cars.

Rimac also said that we will be enchanted by the new hyper car, which brings characteristics that no production car had before it. Does this suggest that Bugatti will keep the W16 engine, since Lamborghini kept the V12 engine for the Aventador’s successor ?!

If the predictions come true, we will have something really crazy. The current Bugatti Chiron is powered by a 8.0-liter quad-turbocharged W16 engine with 1,479 hp (1,103 kW) and 1,180 lb-ft (1,600 Nm) of torque. The engine is paired with a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox. It reaches 62 mph in 2.4 seconds with a maximum electronically limited speed of 261 mph (420 km / h).
