2018 Ferrari 488 GTB is up for auction

In 2015, Ferrari unveiled it’s first mid-engine model to use a turbocharged V8 since the F40, the Ferrari 488. It is the successor to the Ferrari 458, which was chosen as ‘Super Car of the Year’ by the car magazine Top Gear the same year it was introduced. It was produced until 2019 when it was succeeded by the F8 Tributo. One of these extraordinary supercars, the 2018 Ferrari 488 GTB is up for auction.

The Ferrari 488 GTB is powered by a twin-turbocharged 3.9-liter V8 engine with 661 hp (493 kW) and 561 lb-ft (760 Nm) of torque. Power is transmitted to the rear wheels via a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox. It reaches 62 mph in about 3 seconds with a top speed of 205 mph (330 km / h). It is mounted on 20″ five-spoke alloy wheels wrapped in Lexani LX Twenty tires.

This car is finished in Rosso Corsa and is in good condition. It is equipped with Scuderia Ferrari fender shields, xenon headlights, rear parking sensors, a vented deck lid, and carbon-fiber trim on the side skirts, rear diffuser, taillight surrounds, an SCM-E magnetorheological suspension control system and red-finished multi- piston calipers over ceramic-composite discs at each corner.

Inside, the seats are upholstered in Nero leather with contrasting red stitching. Door panels, dashboard and central console are done in the same combination of Nero leather and red stitching. Additional equipment includes red seatbelts, dual-zone automatic climate control, navigation, an aftermarket rearview camera, cruise control, a K40 radar detector, HomeLink connectivity, a JL Audio amplifier, subwoofer and speakers. The clock shows 11,335 miles.

The car has a clean Carfax report that shows no accidents or other damage. It comes with the owner’s manual, service records, and a clean Arizona title in the seller’s name.

The auction ends on March 8th and the current highest bid is $191,488 USD.

YouTuber ruthlessly destroys Ferrari F8 Tributo

Money is not for everyone, especially those who get rich quickly and become ostentatious and arrogant. They try to defy everything without holding anything sacred. Just to show that they can do it. One of them, on the YouTube channel WhistlinDiesel, published a video in which he does crazy things with the Ferrari F8 Tributo.

Ferrari is one of the biggest car brands in the world and has always taken care of its cars, trying to preserve and protect its name. In his apparent attempt to defy the Ferrari company, the YouTuber didn’t hesitate to be extremely cruel to his car. The title of his video says that he bought a car just to destroy it.

He drove the car on grass, gravel and mud. He also managed to climb up the muddy hill. While driving, he deliberately hit the fence of private property. As he passed between the trees, a branch ended up in the opening of the hood. At the end of the ride, he just stopped next to the man using the sander, sparks flying towards the car.

Finally, he gave the car a rough wash with a high-pressure washer. In the end, he and the other members of the team threw tools at the car, which was placed in a protective balloon. Of course, the car withstood it all.

Ferrari F8 Tributo is powered by a twin-turbocharged 3.9-liter V-8 engine with 710 hp (522 kW) and 568 lb-ft (770 Nm) of torque. Power is transmitted to the rear wheels via a seven-speed automatic transmission. This car was not purchased new, it had 3,000 miles on the odometer.

How Ferrari will react to this video remains to be seen.

Ferrari F8 Tributo with more power

In 2019, Ferrari presented the F8 Tributo and with it a new V8 engine with 710 hp, which many consider one of the best engines produced in the past few decades. However, German tuner Keyvany believes that the engine can develop much more horsepower.

The sports car received carbon parts such as sills, rear diffuser, side mirror housings, spoiler and more, which increased the downforce. Of course, Keyvany did not forget to equip the car with new 21/22-inch aluminum rims.

Inside, black fabric dominates in combination with black, red and white leather. The seats are upholstered in white leather with a tricolor stripe running vertically down the middle of the seat, while the headboard features an embroidered inscription and company logo.

The Ferrari F8 Tributo is powered by a 3.9-liter twin-turbo V8 engine with 850 hp (625 kW) and 680 lb-ft (922 Nm) of torque. The standard F8 Tributo has 710 (530 kW) and 568 lb-ft (770 N-m) of torque. To unleash the extra power of the V8 engine, the tuner remapped the ECU unit and installed a new exhaust system. Now the F8 Tributo hits 62 mph in 2.8 seconds, 0.1 second faster than the base model, with a top speed of 218 mph (351 km/h).
