Ferrari 812 Special Edition

Ferrari recently unveiled its two new 812 models, the Competizione and Competizione A. These are the most powerful internal combustion engine models ever produced at Ferrari.

The exterior has undergone some changes, primarily in the form of new air intakes located on both sides of the front grille, a new diffuser and other aerodynamic solutions inspired by Formula 1.

Most attention was paid to the power of the Competizione and Competizione A engines. Thus, the engine got new titanium con-rods and the pins inside the pistons, as well as a new camshaft. The Ferrari 812 models are powered by a 6.5-liter V12 engine with 820 hp and 510 lb-ft of torque. Compared to Superfast, engine power has been increased by 31 hp but torque has been reduced by 19 lb-ft.

With a weight of 3,278 pounds, the Competizione reaches 62 mph in less than 3 seconds with a top speed of 211 mph (340 km / h). For faster gear changes, the engine is paired with a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. Both models come with carbon wheels and Michelin Cup 2 R tires.

It is currently unknown how many units will be produced, or how much they will cost.

The first fully electric Ferrari

An increasing number of companies are working on the production of all-electric cars, including Ferrari. Although it has been producing hybrid models so far, Ferrari has decided to follow the trend of production of all-electric cars, so it has announced the first all-electric model for 2025.

Ferrari has announced that the first all-electric model will be impressive. Ferrari CEO John Elkann said: “You can be sure this will be everything you dream the engineers and designers at Maranello can imagine for such a landmark in our history.”

With its first plug-in hybrid, the SF90 Stradale, the manufacturer from Maranello has shown that it intends to move towards the production of all-electric cars in the future. This was confirmed by Elkann, who said: “We are continuing to execute our electrification strategy in a highly disciplined way. And our interpretation and application of these technologies both in motor sport and in road cars is a huge opportunity to bring the uniqueness and passion of Ferrari to new generations. “

Also, Ferrari confirmed their return to Le Mans in 2023. “This presents another opportunity for us to compete at the highest levels, testing the boundaries of technology on the track and then transferring our knowledge to the matchless pedigree and driving experience of a new generation of Ferrari road cars,” said Ferrari CEO John Elkann .
