1969 Ford Mustang with Mercedes AMG powertrain

Have you ever wondered, what would look like an American car with a Mercedes AMG engine? Check out the 1969 Ford Mustang, which has been brought back to life.

Anarchy Garage, a UK-based company, found a 1969 Mustang in very poor condition. The project cost £ 24,000 ($ 33,000), which includes the purchase of cars and AMG parts.

The classic exterior look has been retained, while the drivetrain and interior have undergone changes. A Mercedes dashboard, center console, steering wheel, transmission, as well as seats are installed.

Under the hood is a 5.5-liter twin-turbo V8 engine with 721 hp and 885 lb-ft (1,200 Nm) of torque. It is the same engine used by the 2021 Mercedes E63 AMG. The car is equipped with a seven-speed automatic transmission and rear-wheel drive, and a limited slip differential.

The revived Mustang uses a set of 19-inch tires, and for a safe stop there are six-piston front brakes and four-piston rear brakes.

Ford Puma Hybrid WRC

Although the current season is underway, the participants of the World Rally Championship (WRC) are continuously preparing for the next season. From Ford comes a new crossover, the Puma, which will replace the previous hatchback Fiesta.

According to the new regulations, Ford has built a 1.6 turbo petrol hybrid with a 136 hp electric motor. The car uses a 3.9kWh battery whose 25 minute charge is enough for the vehicle to cover the section.

Speaking about electrification, Ford Performance Director Mark Rushbrook reaffirmed Ford’s commitment to an electrified future and innovation in the automotive industry.

According to M-Sport boss Malcom Wilson, the introduction of hybrids in the WRC is the greatest achievement to date.

It is not known who will make up the driving team, considering that M-Sport has not yet chosen the drivers.

M-Sport has signed a three-year contract under the new rules, and the WRC hopes to attract more manufacturers. Hyundai has already started testing its hybrid car based on the i20N model.

The unique Ford Shelby Cobra will be sold at auction

The unique car will be sold at auction in Monterey, California. It is a 2004 Ford Shelby Cobra, inspired by the AC Cobra (Daisy).

The design and production of the car was approved by Carol Shelby and supervised by former vice president of product development Chris Theodore and vice president of product design J. Mays.

This unique roadster is powered by a 6.4-liter V10 engine with 605 hp and 501 lb-ft (679 Nm) of torque at 5,500 rpm. The car has a six-speed manual transmission and rear-wheel drive. The maximum speed of the car is electronically limited to 100 mph, although Ford claims that the car is able to reach a speed of 207 mph (333 km / h).

The current owner of the car is Chris Theodore who paid $ 825,000 for the car in 2017. Although the selling price of the Ford Shelby Cobra is not known, some appraisers estimate that the car is currently worth about $ 1.5 million.
