First photos of the new Jeep Compass

In March, Stellantis announced the arrival of the third generation Jeep Compass, which should arrive on the market by the end of the year. It will be produced in Italy, at the Melfi factory, and now we have the first photos of the car.

Jeep recently released a teaser showing that the new Compass will retain the seven-slat front grille, but will also get new headlights like those on the Recon model, and new taillights with LED graphics. It will also be equipped with plastic protective elements, which give it a little more robustness.

The car will be built on the STLA Medium platform, which will be shared with several models from the group such as the Peugeot 3008 and 5008, Opel Grandland, DS 7 and the new Citroen C5 Aircross. The interior brings a large multimedia system, several physical buttons, plenty of storage space, a panoramic roof and an electrically operated sunroof, a Head-up display and leather upholstery with contrasting stitching.

When it comes to the powertrain, the new Compass will be offered as a hybrid, plug-in hybrid and all-electric. Stellantis claims that this car will have best-in-class performance and cutting-edge technology. Whether that’s true remains to be seen after the car makes its debut.

Stellantis announced the new generation of Jeep Compass

Stellantis owns 14 brands, some of which are becoming unprofitable for one of the largest conglomerates in the world, but the group is trying to get out of it and keep them all. One of the brands that recorded a 9% drop last year is Jeep, but the company is announcing a new generation of Jeep Compass.

What we know so far is that the new Compass will be based on the STLA Medium platform, which is also used by several models from the group such as the Peugeot 3008 and 5008, Opel Grandland, DS 7 and the new Citroen C5 Aircross.

Jeep has released a teaser that shows that the new Compass will have a standard seven-slat front grille, new headlights like those on the Recon model, and new taillights with LED graphics.

When it comes to the powertrain, the Compass will be offered as a hybrid, plug-in hybrid and all-electric. Stellantis also claims that the new Compass will have best-in-class performance and cutting-edge technology.

The European version will enter production later this year and will be assembled at the Meifi plant in Italy. In the meantime, production at the Brampton plant in Canada has been halted while Stellantis reviews its product strategy for North America.

This Apocalypse Hellfire 6×6 costs $157,000

About a decade ago, the first six-wheel drive conversions appeared on the market, which over time attracted the attention of many. One such example based on the Jeep Gladiator was made by Apocalypse Manufacturing, and is now for sale.

Apocalypse Manufacturing is known for creating some of the craziest cars designed to dominate any terrain with explosive power. This car is covered in the livery of the American flag and is dedicated to the new President of the United States Donald Trump with the inscription “Trump 2024” on the left side.

To turn the Jeep Gladiator into an extreme car capable of all terrains, engineers added a third axle and special rims with 40-inch tires. The front part has new lights and a radiator grille, while the front and rear quarter panels have been retained. A few changes have also been made inside, such as the addition of bright blue thread, a specially sewn emblem on the steering wheel (a mushroom cloud).

This Hellfire 6×6 is powered by a 3.0-L V6 turbo diesel engine mated to an automatic transmission. When it comes to price, this car costs $157,000.
