2026 BMW M3 CS Touring

A few days ago, BMW introduced its best sports wagon, the M3 CS Touring. The car brings several improvements that promise a new level of performance.

Before working on the engine, BMW reduced the car’s weight by 15 kg thanks to carbon components that include a new hood, front splitter, front air intakes, side mirror housings and rear diffuser. There is also a new front grille, LED daytime running lights, and a new rear lip spoiler.

The M3 CS Touring also received improved electronically controlled shock absorbers, a front crossbar that increases body rigidity, an exhaust system with adaptive valves, a rear silencer made of titanium, more powerful brakes, and buyers can optionally choose carbon-ceramic discs.

When it comes to the powertrain, the M3 CS Touring is powered by a twin-turbo 3.0-L 6-cylinder engine with 550 hp and 650 Nm of torque, which means it is more powerful than the M3 Competition. The engine is mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission that sends power to all four wheels. It reaches 100 km/h in just 3.5 seconds, 200 km/h in 11.7 seconds with a top speed of 300 km/h (186 mph). The car is mounted on a new set of lightweight 19″ and 20″ wheels.

Speaking of the price, the BMW M3 CS Touring in Germany starts at 152,900 euros, which is 50,000 euros more than the M3 Touring.

MH3 800 Touring based on the BMW M3 (G81)

German tuner Manhart is a magician for BMW cars, and one of their latest projects is the MH3 800 Touring based on the BMW M3 (G81).

The MH3 800 Touring is painted black with the standard gold Manhart decal set, is equipped with an adjustable suspension by H&R, an intercooler by Wagner Tuning, a carbon intake, a stainless steel exhaust system by REMUS with valve control, new kidney grille, a front spoiler, a two-piece apron and engine cover, side moldings on the front wings and sills, as well as side sill attachments and a carbon trunk spoiler. The factory carbon-ceramic brake system still guarantees safe stopping.

Under the hood is a 3.0-L S58 biturbo in-line six-cylinder engine with 855 hp (629 kW) and 804 lb-ft (1,090 Nm) of torque, mated to a retuned 8-speed automatic transmission that can handle 1,300 Nm of torque in Stage 2. The power increase was achieved by upgrading the hardware and remapping the ECU unit.

The car is mounted on a set of light 20 and 21-inch alloy wheels by Raffa wrapped in 285/30 ZR20 front and 305/25 ZR21 rear tires. The car will be premiered on December 8 at the Essen Modified Car Show.

BMW M3 Touring

For a long time, the Bavarian company resisted the idea of offering the most powerful BMW M3 in a more practical Touring version. By the way, Audi and Mercedes-Benz are already offering station wagon versions of their most powerful models as competitors to the BMW M3.

More than three decades after the introduction of the first BMW M3, and following the concept of the E46 Series, BMW has finally changed its stance. Thus, potential buyers of the current BMW M3 will soon be able to choose the Touring station wagon version.

The BMW M3 station wagon has entered the final testing phase. It has not been officially confirmed yet, but rumors say that the Touring version will be offered with an adaptive drive (xDrive) as standard. This would mean that the new BMW M3 Touring will use the same solution that the M department offered for the first time with the current BMW M5.

The M3 Touring will be powered by a turbocharged 3.0-liter inline-six engine with 480 hp (353 kW), in the standard version. The more powerful model will have more horsepower, more precisely 510 hp (375 kW). The M3 and Coupé M4 use the same engine. The engine will be paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission that will transmit power to all wheels.

The latest information says that the first production BMW M3 Touring could be available to customers in Europe from the second half of 2022.
