Electrification of Mercedes vehicles continues with the recently introduced AMG models, EQE53 and EQE43. The Affalterbach company has made an effort to offer Mercedes electric models with a lot of potential.
Both models share design with other EQE models, and are equipped with adjustable suspension, 90.6 kWh battery pack that provides a range of 321 miles (518 kilometers), as well as optional carbon-ceramic brakes that ensure a safe stop and are a good option for the vehicle which weighs over 2.5 tons.
The Mercedes-AMG EQE53 and EQE43 are powered by two electric motors with different numbers of horsepower. The Mercedes-AMG EQE53 has 625 hp (460 kW) and 701 lb-ft (950 Nm) of torque. It reaches 62 mph in 3.5 seconds with a top speed of 137 mph (220 km / h). If you want more power, there is an optional Dynamic Plus package that delivers 677 hp (498 kW) and 738 lb-ft (1,001 Nm) of torque, available in a limited time. In this case, the car reaches 62 mph in 3.3 seconds with a top speed of 149 mph (240 km / h).
The smaller version, the EQE43, has 476 hp (350 kW) and 633 lb-ft (858 Nm) of torque. That’s enough power to reach 62 mph in 4.2 seconds with a top speed of 130 mph (210 km / h).
The arrival of the Mercedes-AMG EQE53 and EQE43 is expected in a few months, and the EQE43 will not be offered in the US market.
