The 2026 Mercedes-AMG E53 Hybrid is the most powerful wagon in the fleet

While we wait for Mercedes to unveil the redesigned C-Class, the German manufacturer’s most powerful station wagon has arrived on the market. It’s the Mercedes-AMG E53 hybrid with 612 hp.

The new Mercedes-AMG E53 is powered by a 3.0-liter inline 6-cylinder biturbo engine with 449 hp and 560 Nm of torque combined with an electric motor with a total power of 612 hp and 750 Nm of torque. Power is sent to all wheels via a 9-speed automatic transmission.

It is equipped with batteries with a usable capacity of 21.2 kWh located under the trunk floor, which allow an electric range of up to 97 kilometers. It reaches 100 km/h in 3.9 seconds and with the optional AMG Dynamic Plus package a top speed of 275 km/h.

The successor to the E63 model boasts the same power, but also significantly lower average fuel consumption.

The new, most powerful E-Class estate version is Mercedes’ answer to current offerings like the Audi RS6 Avant and BMW M5 Touring.

Mercedes-AMG is developing a new sports car

Mercedes has revealed its plans for the future, which include 17 new electric models, as well as the return of some models with combustion engines. Also, in a few months they will show the concept of a super sports car.

According to Autocar, the new AMG super sports car will be based on the Vision One-Eleven concept, and will be equipped with axial motors that should develop up to 500 hp and 800 Nm of maximum torque. The electric motors will be manufactured by Yasa, which also supplies Lamborghini with components for the Temerario and Revuelto. which should develop up to 500 hp and 800 Nm of maximum torque.

It will also be equipped with a new generation of solid-state batteries that, thanks to their higher energy density, allow for a longer range. These batteries are installed in the new EQS, which has covered 1,000 km on a single charge.

Some rumors say that the new AMG model will be launched by the end of this year or the beginning of 2026, while the production version should arrive in 2027.

Mercedes AMG EQE53 and EQE43

Electrification of Mercedes vehicles continues with the recently introduced AMG models, EQE53 and EQE43. The Affalterbach company has made an effort to offer Mercedes electric models with a lot of potential.

Both models share design with other EQE models, and are equipped with adjustable suspension, 90.6 kWh battery pack that provides a range of 321 miles (518 kilometers), as well as optional carbon-ceramic brakes that ensure a safe stop and are a good option for the vehicle which weighs over 2.5 tons.

The Mercedes-AMG EQE53 and EQE43 are powered by two electric motors with different numbers of horsepower. The Mercedes-AMG EQE53 has 625 hp (460 kW) and 701 lb-ft (950 Nm) of torque. It reaches 62 mph in 3.5 seconds with a top speed of 137 mph (220 km / h). If you want more power, there is an optional Dynamic Plus package that delivers 677 hp (498 kW) and 738 lb-ft (1,001 Nm) of torque, available in a limited time. In this case, the car reaches 62 mph in 3.3 seconds with a top speed of 149 mph (240 km / h).

The smaller version, the EQE43, has 476 hp (350 kW) and 633 lb-ft (858 Nm) of torque. That’s enough power to reach 62 mph in 4.2 seconds with a top speed of 130 mph (210 km / h).

The arrival of the Mercedes-AMG EQE53 and EQE43 is expected in a few months, and the EQE43 will not be offered in the US market.
