Rare Alfa Romeo SZ Trofeo is for sale

At the 1989 Geneva Motor Show Alfa Romeo unveiled a high-performance limited-production sports car, the Alfa Romeo SZ, developed in partnership with Zagato. It was produced between 1989 and 1991, and only 1,000 units left the production line. Less than 20 Trofeos were ever built and one of them, the Alfa Romeo SZ Trofeo, is for sale.

This car was produced before the 1993 Monaco Grand Prix and was used as a support vehicle, and later competed in several races in the 1993 Italian Supercar GT series. After that, it became part of the private collection of the Italian F1 driver Andrea de Adamich, who regularly drove the car. After 10 years, it was sold to Germany where it was registered for road driving.

Alfa Romeo SZ Trofeo is finished in Red and has always been meticulously maintained by Formula GT, who can confirm that everything is still original. What sets it apart from other examples are the Alfa Romeo badging, 16-inch OZ Racing wheels, and two racer seats in the cabin. The odometer shows less than 22,000 kilometers.

Under the hood is a 3.0-L Busso V6 engine, which is considered one of of the best V6 engines in history. The description states that the car was track-tested by Walter Röhrl (Spielberg), Karl Wendlinger (Mugello) and Joachim Winkelhock (Hockenheim), who were all equally impressed with the handling. The performance is very modest by today’s standards, but on many tracks it can still compete with much more modern monsters.

The car comes with comprehensive photo documentation, spare wheels and parts, and the current price is €185,000.

2000 Viper GTS-R GT2 is for sale

Seven years ago, Dodge stopped production of its two-seat sports car, the Dodge Viper, due to serious financial problems. It is considered one of the best American cars that has proven its capabilities in GT2 races. One of the Viper GTS-R GT2s is up for auction.

This Dodge Viper GTS-R, with the chassis number C36, is equipped with a large rear wing, racing lights, a hatch in the roof, and a lower, more sculpted body kit, with a yellow livery and a lot of advertising stickers. It was developed in 2000 by the French company Oreca, and achieved great success including winning three FIA ​​GT Championship titles. It was ordered by the German team Zakspeed for races at the VLN championship and 24-hour races at Nurburgring as well as for the FIA ​​GT 24 hour race of Spa-Francorchamps in 2003.

There is not much information about the car, but what is known is that it weighs 1,100 kg and is powered by a rebuilt 8.0-L V10 engine with about 600 hp (441 kW). The engine is mated to a 6-speed manual transmission that sends power to the rear wheels.

The car is listed on Race Cars Direct and the asking price is €750,000+VAT. It comes with the DMSB Wagenpass, with the homologation changes stated.
