Fifty years ago, the best Mexican driver ever, Pedro Rodriguez, lost his life in an accident at a race in Germany. In his honor, Porsche produced a special copy of the 911, the Porsche 911 Turbo S “One of a Kind” Pedro Rodriguez.

Pedro Rodriguez has died at the age of 31, and in his rich career he has achieved many victories such as 24 Hours of Le Mans, 24 Hours of Daytona (4 wins), Formula 1 Grand Prix (2 wins) and many others. In one part of his career he was the driver of a Porsche and in his honor they produced this special model.

“Pedro Rodríguez continues to be the Latin American driver who has given Porsche the most triumphs and joy. With this unique car in the world we want to pay tribute to a unique, irreplaceable driver, an idol of the past and a legend of today, ”says George Wills, CEO of Porsche Latin America.

The car was done in the colors used at the time Rodriguez achieved the most victories by driving a Porsche 917 KH.

Director of Porsche Mexico, Camilo San Martin, says: “This configuration, with these specific details and equipment, has been locked in the Porsche configurator, as well as in the production system, so that this car is literally unrepeatable.”

The special Porsche 911 Turbo S is powered by a 650 hp 6-cylinder biturbo boxer engine. It reaches 62 mph in just 2.7 seconds with a top speed of 205 mph (330 km / h).

Gemballa Marsien – Off-road Porsche 911 Turbo S

The modified 911 Turbo S has hit the market. After two years, the young team has created an off road car (Marsien) that provides drivers with a superior experience.

This off-road Porsche is the work of MARC PHILIPP GEMBALLA GmbH, headed by Marc Philipp Gemballa. The Marsien, which is made entirely of carbon fiber, was designed by Porsche 908 designer Alan Derosier.

Marsien is powered by a twin-turbocharged six-cylinder engine that delivers 750 hp. Engine power can be increased to 818 hp and 686 lb-ft of torque, using a VTG turbocharger and remapped ECU. This 3,955 lb (1,794 kg) weight supercar reaches 62 mph in 2.6 seconds, up to 124 mph (200 km / h) in 7.8 seconds with a top speed of 208 mph (335 km / h), thanks to the Sport Chrono Package.

The car uses 20/21 inch or 19/20 inch forged wheels, depending on the surface on which they are used. The engine is paired with an 8-speed Porsche Doppelkupplung (PDK) transmission with all-wheel drive. 350 mm discs with 6-piston aluminum monobloc fixed calipers at the front and 4-piston aluminum monobloc fixed calipers at the rear are responsible for safe stopping.

Thanks to the Hydraulic Lift system, the car can be lifted by 9.8 inches (250 mm) in off-road mode or 4.7 inches (130 mm) in on-road mode.

Only 40 copies will be made at a price of $ 580,000 (€ 495,000).
