1956 Porsche 356A coupe is up for auction

In 1948, Porsche’s first production car, the Porsche 356, arrived on the market. Seven years later, the 356 A was introduced. Its internal factory designation, “Type 1”, gave rise to its nickname “T1” among enthusiasts. It was produced until 1959, and more than 15k cars left the production lines. One of them, a 1956 Porsche 356A coupe is up for auction.

The Porsche 356A coupe is powered by a replaced 1.6-liter flat-four engine paired with a dual-mount four-speed manual transmission that sends power to the rear wheels. It sits on silver 15″ steel wheels, with chrome hubcaps, wrapped in 155SR15 Vredestein Sprint Classic tires.

In 2021, the car was completely refurbished, after spending three decades in storage. It is finished in Silver Metallic (5606) and the reconstruction included the replacement of floor panels, front and rear inner fenders, battery box, left side panel, inner front hood frame, body seals, windshield, bumpers, and various trim pieces. It is equipped with body-color bumpers with bumperettes, quad beehive taillights, a single-grille decklid, square-edge door handles, a driver-side mirror, gold-color badging and hydraulic drum brakes.

Inside, the seats are covered in red leather that also covers the door panels and dashboard. There is also the re-cast ivory-color steering wheel behind which is a five-digit odometer showing 76,941 miles. Additional equipment includes beige square-weave carpeting, black rubber floor mats, black lap belts, leather rear luggage straps, a Porsche-branded radio blanking plate, a dash-mounted ashtray, and a lockable glovebox.

The car comes with refurbishment records, a Porsche Production Specifications sheet, an owner’s manual, a tool kit, and a clean California title.

The auction ends on March 30 and the current highest bid is $125,000 USD.

Lamborghini Urus designed by Carlex Design

Polish company Carlex Design is known for creating exceptional designs for some of today’s best cars. Their latest work is the Italian car manufacturer’s SUV, the Lamborghini Urus.

The upper part of the car is finished in Pearl White, while the lower half is in Racing Green, which together create a racing line that starts at the rear spoiler and ends forward behind the hood emphasizing the arrow shape. The green shade continues on the 16-spoke wheels with the Carlex logo. The same logo adorns the C-pillar and the front part of the hood, where the line starts, extending over the entire body. The green and white theme is present throughout the vehicle including the windows.

The paint is applied with a brush effect that creates horizontal lines on the body and gives it a dynamic that is not common for luxury vehicles, whose manufacturers are usually obsessed with perfect lines.

Inside, the seats are upholstered in leather, bead white covering the seat backs, center armrest and most of the dashboard, while the lower part of the seats is green. The same combination covers the door panels. The floor mats and side backrests are also in green. The upper part of the dashboard is covered with Alcantara.

GTstreet R Flyweight based on the Porsche 911 Turbo S

German tuner TechArt, specialized in Porsche 911 cars, presented its new work, GTstreet R Flyweight. It is a limited edition that will be produced in 19 units, and is based on the Porsche 911 Turbo S.

The car is equipped with a Powerkit TA092/T2.1 equipment package that includes new turbochargers, air filters, a hand-welded exhaust system and other components. Thanks to this, the 3.8-liter twin-turbo straight-six engine delivers 789 hp (580 kW) and (950 Nm) torque. That’s significantly more power than the standard Porsche 911 Turbo S with 650 hp (478 kW) and 590 lb-ft (800 Nm) of torque.

The exterior of the car was slightly modified with the addition of a carbon fiber front splitter, a skid plate underneath, a carbon fiber hood, wider front fenders with openings on the trailing edge, a new rear spoiler, and a polycarbonate rear window was installed to reduce the car’s weight. There’s also Ohlins suspension and a set of 20″ and 21″ forged wheels wrapped in Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 R tires.

Inside, Recaro Podium CF seats with 3D-printed pads and six-point seat belts have been installed, and the rear seats have been replaced by a roll cage.

Customers can customize their cars as desired. Exposed carbon can be matte or high gloss, and a whole range of colors is available. Orders are open, and the price can be obtained on request.
