Porsche 911 Dakar in new colors

A few months ago, Porsche has finally unveiled a limited edition version of its all-road car, the 2023 Porsche 911 Dakar. The car is based on the Carrera 4 GTS but with slightly higher suspension. Now Porsche has decided to offer the car in body colors reminiscent of Porsche’s competition in the Safari Rally in 1971, 1974 and 1978.

With this model, Porsche paid tribute to the Porsche 911 (953), which won the famous Paris-Dakar rally in 1984. In addition to the options with which Porsche recalls the appearance of factory-prepared 911s that were used in the Safari Rally in 1971 and 1974 races, there is also the most attractive option for the 911 Dakar, which in that case wears the recognizable Martini colors that adorned the competition 911 in 1978. The price of the first two options is €4,905 EUR, while the 911 Dakar in Martini colors costs €7,000 EUR.

In Off-Road mode the Porsche 911 Dakar is 8 cm higher, while in Rallye mode the distance is reduced from 8 to 5 cm. The new front bumper, revised air intakes and fixed rear wing are just some of the novelties that the 911 Dakar has. At the rear there are round exhaust pipes and a single-piece light bar under the rear wing.

911 Dakar is powered by a 3.0-liter twin-turbocharged boxer 6 engine with 473 hp (348 kW) and 420 lb-ft (570 Nm) of torque. Power is transmitted to all wheels via an 8-speed Porsche Doppelkupplung (PDK). It reaches 60 mph in 3.4 seconds with an electronically limited top speed of 149 mph (240 km/h). It’s mounted on a set of 19 and 20-inch wheels wrapped in 245/45 R19 (front) and 295/40 R20 (rear) all-terrain tires.

Porsche will produce 2,500 examples of the 911 Dakar, and the starting price is €222,000 EUR.

The largest number of Lamborghini models were sold in the United States (2,721 copies). In Europe, the largest markets were Germany and the United Kingdom, and with increasing sales Lamborghini has expanded its sales network to 180 sales salons in 53 countries.

After selling 8,405 vehicles in 2021, Lamborghini recorded a sales growth of 10 percent last year. Of course, Lamborghini Urus was a star and was sold in 5,376 copies, which is a growth of 7 percent. Huracan was delivered in 3,133 copies, while Lamborghini Aventador, whose last copy was produced in the middle of last year, sold in 753 copies.

Speaking of the future, at the beginning of the last year, Lamborghini Ceo Stephan Winkelmann said they will offer their first plug-in hybrid model in 2023. Thus, the honor of being the last Lamborghini with an internal combustion engine went to 2023 Huracan Sterrato, which was premiered in December at the Art Basel Festival in Miami (USA).

Bugatti has produced and delivered 80 cars in the last year

After recently announcing that it produced 4/5 of the total of 500 planned examples of the Bugatti Chiron, Bugatti announced that last year was a record year when it comes to car production. The company managed to produce and deliver 80 cars.

Among the produced hypercars with a W16 engine last year was the 400th Chiron, as well as the last ten copies of the Chiron Super Sport 300+. All ten examples of the Bugatti Centodieci were also produced and delivered, as were all examples of the Chiron and Chiron Sport models for European customers. Many of these cars are modified according to the wishes of the customers.

When it comes to this year, from Molsheim Atelier comes a new, perhaps the most controversial edition of the Chiron, the Chiron Profilée. This unique car will be offered at auction on February 1, 2023 in Paris. Also, the production and delivery of the remaining 100 Chirons will continue, and the configuration of the Mistral and Bolide models is also expected to begin.

Chiron Profilée will be powered by an 8.0-liter quad-turbo W16 engine with 1,480 hp (1,103 kW) and 1,180 lb-ft (1,600 Nm) of torque. It reaches 62 mph in 2.3 seconds with a top speed of 380 km/h, which is 30 km/h more than the Chiron Pur Sport (350 km/h).
