Alpina B3 and D3 S

After BMW unveiled the revamped 3 Series, Alpina unveiled its two models based on a refreshed sedan and station wagon. These are the Alpina B3 petrol and D3 S diesel models, which offer better performance and visual improvements.

The Alpina D3 S is powered by a 3.0-liter 6-cylinder turbocharged diesel engine with 350 hp (257 kW) and 538 lb-ft (730 Nm) of torque, just like the replacement model. The sedan reaches 62 mph in 4.6 seconds, while the Touring takes 0.2 seconds more to reach the same speed. Top speed is 170 mph (273 km / h) and 168 mph (270 km / h).

The car is equipped with Alpina Sport suspension with new springs, bumpers and stabilizers, and there are shock absorbers with variable control that allows changes depending on the choice of driving mode (comfort +, comfort, sport and sport +). There are also 395 mm (front) and 345 mm (rear) brake discs, combined with blue Alpina brake pliers. It is mounted on Alpina Classic 20-inch alloy wheels which are optional, while standard Alpina Dynamic 19-inch wheels. The models are available in traditional blue and green with a number of BMW and BMW Individual options.

Inside, both models are equipped with a new digital cockpit with a 14.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system that uses the BMW Operating System 8. The Lavalina leather-wrapped sports steering wheel boasts the Alpina logo while the center console and sills feature Alpina production number plates. The floor mats are decorated with metal markings, as well as the dashboard and seats.

The Alpina B3 is powered by a more powerful version of the 3.0-liter 6-cylinder turbo petrol with 488 hp (359 kW) and 538 lb-ft (730 Nm) of torque. Compared to the standard model, power has been increased thanks to new software, Alpina turbochargers, a larger intercooler and optimized suction and cooling systems. The new model delivers 33 hp and 30 Nm more compared to the B3 that arrived before the facelift, so it’s even closer to the M3 model.

Alpina has opened orders for both models, and deliveries are expected in October. The starting price of the B3 sedan is 88,600 euros, while the B3 Touring starts at 89,900 euros. Diesel models are cheaper. The D3 S sedan costs 77,050 euros, while the Touring costs 78,450 euros.

Porsche 911 Turbo S and Taycan Turbo S improved by Brabus

The company known worldwide for tuning Mercedes-AMG models has presented special editions of Porsche models Taycan Turbo S and 911 Turbo S, Brabus 820. These are models whose performance has been raised to a higher level by Brabus engineers.

First of all, the power of the Porsche 911 Turbo S in the coupe and convertible edition has been increased. So now the entry model is powered by a 3.8L 6-cylinder engine with 720 hp (530 kW) and 664 lb-ft (900 Nm) of torque, which is a significant increase over the standard 650 hp (478 kW) and 590 lb-ft (800 Nm) of torque. However, if that’s not enough, Brabus has remapped the ECU by increasing power to an impressive 820 hp and 950 hp. The car is mounted on 21 and 22-inch wheels, and Brabus offers a choice of carbon components with a matte finish or high gloss.

In order to withstand the increase in power, the cars have also undergone certain visual improvements. There is first and foremost a new front end that reduces front axle lift without affecting active aerodynamics, while the rear end features a large inconel diffuser with four 100mm exhaust pipes. When it comes to the Porsche Taycan Turbo S, there is a front splitter as well as a three-piece rear spoiler and diffuser.

The car also came with an adaptive air suspension to lower the electric Porsche by 20 mm. Inside, there are some unique details such as aluminum pedals and branded sill plates and carbon details. It is mounted on 10-spoke 22-inch wheels.

Porsche 911 SVSR Hoonipigasus with 1,400 HP

Ken Block is a famous rally driver who will take part in the Pikes Peak race again, but this time as the driver of a unique vehicle. Although under contract with Audi, it seems that he is allowed to “cheat” and get behind the wheel of a Porsche 911 SVSR Hoonipigasus. It should also be noted that the car was not made in Zuffenhausen and is reminiscent of the 1971 Porsche 910/20 “Pink Pig”.

The Pikes Peak International Hill Climb is an extremely demanding 20-kilometer race consisting of 156 turns. The start of the race is at 1,440 and the finish at 4,300 meters above sea level.

The car is the result of the work of BBi Autosport, and is equipped with an adjustable suspension that uses GPS coordinates based on last year’s Pikes Peak telemetry. This makes it clear that Block will be driving his unique Porsche to Pikes Peak in Colorado at the PPO (Pikes Peak Open). It won’t be Block’s first Pikes Peak experience as he drove a 200 hp (147 kW) rally car in 2005. Also, in 2017, he appeared in the movie “Climbkhana: Pikes Peak” with a super powerful Ford Mustang Hoonicorn RTR V2 (1965) with 1,400 hp (1030 kW).

Like the aforementioned Ford Mustang RTR V2, the unique 1000 kg Porsche 911 SVSR also has 1,400 hp (1030 kW). It gets its power from a 4.0-liter twin-turbo engine, which is transmitted to both axles.
