1987 Porsche 911 Carrera coupe is up for auction

In 1984, Porsche presented the last iteration in the original 911 series and the replacement for the SC model, the 911 Carrera 3.2. It was produced until 1989, and over 70,000 units left the production line. One of them, a 1987 Porsche 911 Carrera coupe is up for auction.

This example is powered by a 3.2-liter M930/25 flat-six engine with 217 hp (162 kW) and 195 lb-ft (264 Nm) of torque. Power is sent to the rear wheels via a G50 five-speed manual transmission. Two years ago, the engine was serviced, which included replacing the fuel pump relay, alternator, drive belts, and air conditioning receiver-dryer. Oil, spark plugs, drive belts and deck lid struts were also recently changed. It is mounted on 16″ Fuchs alloy wheels wrapped in 205/55 front and 225/50 rear Continental ExtremeContact Sport tires.

The car is finished in Guards Red, properly maintained and in good condition. It is equipped with a rear spoiler, integrated fog lights, a rear window wiper, and heated power-adjustable side mirrors. Minor bodywork was recently done, which included the replacement of the third brake light and front lip, and the finishing of the driver’s door and left fender.

Inside, the seats are upholstered in black leather that also covers the door panels, dash and rear bench. In front of the driver is a leather-wrapped steering wheel and a six-digit odometer showing 74,774 miles. Additional equipment includes a Blaupunkt CD stereo, an alarm system, air conditioning, power windows, and cruise control, the latter of which does not work.

The car has a clean Carfax report that shows no accidents or other damage. It comes with service records, a car cover, spare parts, manufacturer’s literature, and a clean Arizona title.

The auction ends on December 27 and the highest bid at the time of writing is USD $70,000.
