The all-electric Porsche Cayenne will arrive in 2026

In the previous year, Porsche achieved outstanding sales results, and the highest demand was for the Cayenne model (95,604 units). The German company decided to continue on the same path, and this was confirmed by the recently published teasers showing the arrival of an improved version of this SUV, whose premiere is expected in two months.

In addition, Porsche is intensively working on a fully electric version of the Cayenne model, which should reach the market by 2026. The car will not have much in common with today’s SUV as it will use a different platform. According to Autocar, the electric Cayenne will be based on the Premium Platform Electric (PPE) platform planned for the next-generation electric Macan. The platform is being developed in collaboration with Audi, which means it will be used by the Q6 E-Tron and A6 E-Tron models.

When it comes to the powertrain, plenty of power is expected as the most powerful electric Macan will have 603 hp (443 kW) and more than 737 lb-ft (1,000 Nm) of torque. It is expected that a new battery will be installed, more powerful than the one in the Porsche Macan (100 kWh). It will also be equipped with 800V technology.

Porsche, for now, has no intention of stopping offering the Cayenne with an internal combustion engine. Why would it, when it is currently the most desirable Porsche car.
