2009 RUF Rt12 S is up for auction

At the 2004 Essen Motor Show, the German company Ruf Automobile unveiled its first sports car based on the 997-generation Porsche 911, the Ruf Rt 12. Five years later, a more powerful version of this model, the Rt12 S with S-specifications, arrived on the market. One such example, the 2009 RUF Rt12 S, is up for auction.

Rt12 S is powered by a twin-turbocharged 3.8-liter flat-six engine with 685 hp (504 kW) and 664 lb-ft (900 Nm) of torque. Power is transmitted to all wheels via a six-speed manual gearbox and a limited-slip differential. It reaches 62 mph in 3.6 seconds with a top speed of 224 mph (360 km/h). It is mounted on silver 19″ cast-alloy wheels wrapped in 235/35 (front) and 325/30 (rear) Michelin Pilot Sport S tires.

This car was used as a press vehicle until the death of the original owner, a racer from Puerto Rico, in 2013. It is finished in Guards Red, properly maintained and in good condition. It is equipped with adjustable coilover suspension, exposed carbon fiber rear wing, restyled quarter panels with larger air ducts and side mirrors, front spoiler, Xenon headlights, cross-drilled and vented carbon-ceramic rotors with monobloc alloy calipers with six pistons up front and four pistons back. At the beginning of the year, a service was performed and the oil and coolant temperature sensor were replaced at RUF Automobile in Pfaffenhausen, Germany.

Inside, the seats are upholstered in black leather with red stitching and Alcantara inserts. Black leather covers the dashboard, door panels, central console and three-spoke steering wheel. Additional equipment includes an integrated roll cage, automatic climate control, Porsche Communication Management with navigation, red front belts and intertia-reel rear wing belts. The clock reads 23,214 miles.

The car comes with service invoices, import documents, a manufacturer’s statement of origin, and a clean Montana title in the seller’s name.

The auction ends on January 2, 2023, and the current highest bid is $320,000 USD.
