1965 Porsche 356SC cabriolet is up for auction

In 1964, Porsche introduced the last revision of the 356, the Porsche 356C, with the most powerful pushrod engine Porsche had ever produced. It was produced until 1965 and one example, the 1965 Porsche 356SC cabriolet is for sale.

The Porsche 356SC is powered by a 1.6-liter flat-four with twin Solex carburetors and 95 hp (71 kW). The engine is paired with a four-speed manual gearbox that sends power to the rear wheels. It sits on chrome-finished 15″ ventilated steel wheels wrapped in 165/85 Nexen SB-802 tires.

This example was purchased new and is finished in Light Ivory. It is equipped with a black convertible soft top, tan boot cover, left rearview mirror, rocker-panel moldings, gold Porsche SC badging, body-color bumpers with chrome overriders and extended exhaust outlets, and four-wheel disc brakes. The car is said to have been repainted in the 1990s.

Inside, the low-back bucket seats are upholstered in tan leather that covers the door panels and rear jump seats. There are also beige squareweave carpets covered with black and tan coco-style mats, lap belts and a Blaupunkt AM/FM radio. In front of the driver is a wood-rimmed steering wheel and a five-digit odometer showing 28,547 miles (total mileage is unknown).

The car comes with previous registration documents, partial service records, tools, an owner’s manual, a Porsche Certificate of Authenticity, and a clean Montana title in the name of the seller’s LLC.

The auction ends on January 23 and the highest bid at the time of writing was USD $57,000.

Praga Bohema is a limited edition hypercar

The Czech company Praga has started production of the Bohema hypercar, and the company claims that the car offers more than what its customers expect. Only 89 examples will be produced at a price of 1.36 million euros (approximately $1.5 million).

After extensive testing and hours of driving on the Nurburgring, Red Bull Ring and Spa-Francorchamps, the car is ready to give its owners adrenaline-pumping fun. It is powered by a twin-turbocharged 3.8-liter V6 engine, taken from the Nissan GT-R, with 700 hp (522 kW) and 535 pound-feet (725 Nm) of torque. Weighing just under 1,000 kg (2,205 lb) the car can reach a top speed of more than 186 mph (300 km/h). The engine is paired with a Hewland 6-speed sequential manual transmission that sends power to the rear wheels.

“This is an important moment for Praga in our 117-year history. We closely monitor every stage of the production process to ensure that the Bohema production model meets and even exceeds our customers’ expectations,” said company head Tomas Kasparek.

The car is made of carbon components, and thanks to openings and wings, the car can create about 900 kg of downforce at 250 km/h (160 mph). It sits on 18″ and 19″ wheels wrapped in 245/40 ZR18 97Y front and 305/30 ZR19 102Y rear Pirelli Trofeo R tires.

2023 was the best year for Lamborghini

2022 was a very successful year for Lamborghini with 9,242 cars sold, and the same was expected in 2023. According to the report, Lamborghini delivered 10,112 cars worldwide in the past 12 months, which is the best result in the history of this Italian manufacturer.

Although governments are trying to encourage customers to buy electric cars with subsidies, the demand for ICE cars and hybrids is still high. Proof of this is the 6,087 copies of the Lamborghini Urus delivered in the last 12 months, and 3,962 copies of the Lamborghini Huracan model.

Lamborghini had the highest sales growth in the European market, where 4,000 cars were delivered, which is a 14 percent increase compared to the same period of the previous year. In the US, 3,000 cars were sold, which is a 9 percent increase over the previous year.

In March last year, Lamborghini presented the successor to the Aventador, the Lamborghini Revuelto, and the first examples were delivered at the end of the year. That is why these examples were not included in the total number, and what effect they will have on the sales results in 2024 remains to be seen.

The Lamborghini Revuelto is powered by a 6.5-L V12 combined with an electric motor with a total output of 1,001 hp (747 kW) and 595 lb-ft (807 Nm) of torque. Power is sent to all wheels via an 8-speed dual-clutch automated manual transmission. This powerful SUV is capable of accelerating from zero to 62 in 2.5 seconds with a top speed of 217 mph (350 km/h).
