2023 Maserati MC20 GT2

After a few days of unveiling the Project24 racing car, Maserati is working hard to return to the Fanatec GT2 European Series Championship. This was confirmed by the presentation of the new car for the next season, the Maserati MC20 GT2.

The car is based on the MC20 model, and will be powered by a 3.0-liter twin-turbo V6 Nettuno engine with an unknown number of horsepower. As a reminder, the MC20 uses the same engine with 621 hp (457 kW). Power will be sent to the rear wheels via a 6-speed sequential gearbox with a sports clutch and a mechanical self-locking limited-slip differential.

The MC20 GT2 is equipped with a lightweight monocoque chassis, double wishbone suspension with adaptive dampers and anti-roll bars, sports brake calipers and larger ventilated discs. There are also 18-inch central-locking alloy wheels with slick tires, sport mirrors with the Italian flag and enlarged intakes on the more pronounced rear bumpers. At the back there is an adjustable rear wing, as well as a significantly larger rear diffuser and two tailpipes.

Inside, the sports seat is fixed and comes with six-point seat belts. An FIA-certified roll cage, adjustable pedals and a multi-functional carbon handlebar are also there. In addition, the car has a traction control system, adjustable ABS, air conditioning and a data collection system. As an option, Maserati offers a camera on the rear, a camera in the car, a display for adjusting performance, as well as tire pressure monitoring.

Audi RS E-Tron GT with new aerodynamic package

In 2020, Audi unveiled its third all-electric car, the Audi RS E-Tron GT. It’s a superbly designed car, but there are always those who want more aerodynamics, like Turismo Wheels CEO Wojciech Malag.

Malag entrusted the car to Maxton Design engineers who prepared a package of special aerodynamic components for this electric sedan. These include a rear diffuser, a new front lip spoiler, more massive side skirts, K&W springs and an upgraded air suspension that lower the car, but also 3M black foil that adds to the overall look.

The Audi RS E-Tron GT is an electric car with outstanding performance. Under the hood are two electric motors with a total output of 637 hp (475 kW) and 612 lb-ft (830 Nm) of torque. Power is transmitted to all four wheels via 1-speed direct drive (front axle) and 2-speed gearbox (rear axle). It reaches 62 mph in 2.85 seconds with a top speed of 156 mph (250 km/h). It is mounted on 22-inch Turismo Inventa carbon rims.

An increasing number of electric cars began to attract the attention of tuner companies, so in the future we can expect more frequent requests from owners to personalize their beloved cars.

Maserati Project24

A few days ago, Maserati announced the arrival of a new racing model, the Project24. It is a limited edition based on the MC20, and only 62 cars will be produced.

Although Maserati is keeping quiet about most of the details and specifications, some details have been revealed. The design of the car was done by Centro Stile Maserati. There is a large vent on the hood that helps direct air over the body, the front splitter and rear wing are adjustable to correct aerodynamics on the track. The exhaust pipes now have a higher position on the rear bumper to allow for a larger diffuser. It is equipped with adjustable shock absorbers and stabilizers, Brembo carbon-ceramic brakes, as well as 18-inch rims with central locking.

The interior of the car is stripped bare. A roll cage, six-point seat belt and fire extinguisher are installed, which is FIA regulation. There’s also a multi-functional carbon steering wheel, adaptive ABS and traction control. For those who want more equipment, Maserati also offers a front passenger seat, a reversing camera, telemetry recording, a cabin camera, a display to optimize driving performance and a pressure monitoring system.

When it comes to the powertrain, under the hood will be a twin-turbocharged 3.0-liter Nettuno V6 engine with 740 (552 kilowatts), which is 119 hp more than the MC20. The gear box was also replaced, so the engine is now paired with a 6-speed sequential gearbox with a self-locking mechanical limited-slip differential.
