2025 Alpine A110 R Ultime ‘La Bleue’

The A110 R Ultime is another version of Alpine’s sports car based on the A110 R model. It is an all-electric car that the French manufacturer presented at the Paris Motor Show and will cost 265,000 euros.

This version of the sports coupe will be produced in 110 units and is powered by a 2.0-L turbocharged four-cylinder engine with 350 hp (257 kW) and 309 lb-ft (420 Nm) of torque. That means it has 50 hp and 80 Nm more than the A110 R on which it is based.

The car is equipped with a special aero package that raises the performance of the car to a higher level. These include new splitters, fins, a large rear wing, bonnet vents, and flicks, which make the car even more agile on corner entry, cornering and acceleration. Alpine claims that this car reaches 100 km/h in 3.8 seconds, which is 0.1 second faster than the previous model with Launch Control.

“The road holding work carried out had a clear objective: further improving the car’s performance. Thanks to a successful blend of agility and performance, the A110 R Ultime is a genuine road-legal circuit car,” said Alpine.

On the photos is the A110 R Ultime ‘La Bleue’ version which will be produced in just 15 units and is the pinnacle of the A110 range. It is the most expensive Alpine car ever and costs 330,000 euros.

2025 BYD Sealion 7 is coming to Europe

After unveiling a new hatchback, the Seal 06 GT, two months ago, the Chinese manufacturer BYD continues its expansion into the European market with its new all-electric SUV, the Sealion 7.

Sealion 7 was premiered in China in November last year, and on the European market it should be a major competitor to the Tesla Model Y. It is based on the e-Platform 3.0 Evo platform and features BYD’s well-known design language. The headlights and intakes on the bumper show that this car is not very different in design from the Seal U SUV. Also, the falling roofline that merges with the full-length LED taillights is reminiscent of the Seal sedan.

The interior is similar to that of the Seal sedan, but with a slightly different dashboard design. It is equipped with soft vegan leather that covers over 80% of the interior, comfortable premium quilted Nappa leather seats, a 15.6″ rotating touchscreen and a new steering wheel, while the digital cockpit and center console are taken from the BYD Seal sedan.

This SUV is the eighth EV of the Chinese company that is part of the Ocean Series, and the version that will be offered in Europe will be powered by two electric motors. In China, the Sealion 7 has 530 hp (390 kW) and the 82.56 kWh battery provides a range of 550 km (340 mi).

The first deliveries should start at the end of October 2024.

2025 Alpine Alpenglow HY6 Concept

At the 2022 Paris Motor Show, Alpine presented a hydrogen-powered concept, the Alpenglow Hy4. Two years later at the same event, the French company presented a more powerful version of the hypercar with a new hydrogen V6 engine, the Alpine Alpenglow HY6.

Compared to the previous model, the Alpenglow HY6 has slightly better aerodynamics with a focus on participation in endurance races. It is 5.2 meters long and is equipped with a carbon fiber body, futuristic lights, additional intakes on the hood and a redesigned rear with a transparent engine cover and a slightly more conventional rear wing.

Also, some rumors say that the manufacturer could decide on serial production of this car. The company admitted that “the development philosophy initially favors a version designed for racing, but could be transferred to series production”. In a similar context, Alpine’s chief designer recently pointed out that the brand always counted on a production version when designing the Alpenglow.

When it comes to the powertrain, the Alpenglow HY6 is powered by a 3.5-L V6 twin-turbo engine with 740 hp (544 kW) and 568 lb-ft (770 Nm) of torque. Power is transferred to the rear axle via a 6-speed sequential Xtrac gearbox. The engine has four chain driven camshafts, four valves per cylinder and uses only hydrogen. The fuel is stored in three hydrogen tanks of 2.1 kilograms under high pressure.

Alpine has been pushing the FIA for a long time to allow hydrogen cars to compete, and the goal is the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 2028.
